  1. That's not quite right. The police officer who was involved is sticking to his storey and taking a civil action against Mitchell for slander/libel. Mitchell admits swearing but denies the use of the word pleb. Hopefully the civil case will will present the facts from both parties. The officer who said he was a member of public passing and overheard the conversation will loose his job and may go to prison. The three officers you refer to we're not investigating the incident. They were from the police federation (national not metropolitian) and reported the conversation they had with Mitchell differently then what he said, he did record it and they were put infront of the home affairs committe for this. 2. People use that same argument about the shooting community or people on incapacity benefit.
  3. Yeah, I know that......Anyway we're going a bit of topic. All I'm saying is that were all sounding off deciding what's right and what's wrong when the jurors have made a judgement based on a lot more information than what we've read.
  4. Didn't the police officer who pushed Ian Tomlinson get found not guilty by a court? Also today an independent jury has stated that duggan was lawfully killed and therefore it was not an unlawful use of force. They have been presented with numerous witnesses, exhibits, reports, statements, expert testominey etc over the last few months and that's what there've decided. Do you think your judgement is better than the jury's?

    Lock knives

The law that relates to this subject is sec 139 criminal justice Act 1988. It has nothing to do with Michael Howard. The law was brought in because it's very hard to prove possession of an offensive weapon (sec 1 prevention of crime Act 1953) people were carrying knives as as long as they didn't admit it was for violence they could walk around with impunity. However that aside the most important thing to know about this whole subject is that the defences of good reason and lawful authority are for the defence to prove (on the balance of probability) not the police or CPS, in effect your guilty unless you can convince a judge/magistrate otherwise. However any half decent police officer will know the difference between a wrong 'un and some one who has at leatherman or lock knife for field sports etc. Personally I carry a leather man with a non locking blade and the blade is less than 3 inches so I should be ok. 6. A few answers here : http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/geekquinox/celebrate-moon-landing-10-debunked-moon-hoax-arguments-211040304.html Of course the whole point of a conspiracy is that even when you can prove that it's not one, people will state the evidence is fake and part of the conspiracy. There's far far much more evidence to prove there were moon landings than not. ATB
  7. Go to settings, then general, then keyboard, then keyboards, then add new keyboard. Select "Emoji". Next time you type look for the globe next to the space bar. Tap this to bring up lots of smilies. Tap again to go back to normal text. No need to download an app, it's part of IOS. ATB
  8. Don't believe this media hype, no new offences have been created. It's just that careless driving/driving without due care & attention can now be dealt by means of a fixed penalty notice. It is a" should" not a "must" to keep left on a duel carriageway/motorway and it has never been easy to get a conviction on poor lane discipline alone and nothing has changed today. ATB
  9. How about a traffic police officer Muslim who's been found out to be a drug addict paedo who claims benefits and is a traveller on the side and is a member of the LACS......50 pages at least!
  10. How about these blokes : http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Croucher http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johnson_Beharry
  11. I use 2inch in my mossburg, both no. 9 and 6. Only use them for rodents though not rabbits or pigeon. I reckon 15 yards is the absoulte maximum with no. 6 but you could try a pettern plate. 9's pattern ok but at 15 yards loose there power. 2 inch carts are very quiet with hardly any recoil. ATB
  12. Who's breath? Are you referring to me? Just because someone has a different view to you it doesn't make them wrong or right, just like you view isn't wrong or right. I don't believe in the death penalty for a number of reasons. However I do believe in very tough, long prison terms with no privalages, no tv's, sky, no gyms, basic food etc. Am I still a "liberal"?
  13. The death penalty was abolished in 1998 due to The Human Rights Act 1998. In effect the Human Rights Act, made allowance for the European convention on Human right to be incoperatted into British Law. Article 2 is the right to Life and apparently the dealth penalty isn't compatible with this.....therefore the abolishment of the death penalty for treason and I think a few other offences. Personally I don't agree with the death penalty so no bad thing in my book.

    gym help

IMHO loosing weight is 90% diet and 10% exercise. Don't get me wrong, excersise is good for the heart, lungs etc, but if you want to loose weight cut the calories. If you do this, it will be very hard to start building up muscle though, so if you want to bulk up eat lots (of the right stuff) ATB.

    Tailgating

Think your mistaken..... From the Highway Code : Rule 137 On a two-lane dual carriageway you should stay in the left-hand lane. Use the right-hand lane for overtaking or turning right. After overtaking, move back to the left-hand lane when it is safe to do so. ATB

    Tailgating

Your both right, if someone goes into the back of you (assuming no mechinacal defects, automatism or any other defence etc) then they can't stop in the distance they can see to be clear, in other words travelling to close and it's poor driving on there part. Possibly careless or without due care. However if you slam on your brakes to instigate someone hitting you (and it can be proved) you could be looking at dangerous driving, possibly crominal danage and assault if injury is caused, or worse if it resulted in a death. I know its a cliche but two wrongs don't make a right. Edited : Jonathan Has got there before me.
  17. With that in mind, I'd say there's not a lot in it. IMHO The fazer is the better tourer and long distance commuter, but for a 6 mile commute it don't make a great deal of difference. I'd go for the fazer, but V twins do have more character than in line 4's...... ATB.
  18. I've ridden both, what you using it for?

    Philpots

Max for manslaughter is life, but I reckon he'll get 10 years, serve 5.
  20. Spot on. First thing you should do is remove the food source!
  21. The important bit of information is what type of wall is it? Namely themilite, brick, timber frame etc.
  22. I go all the time, good quality stuff, tastes loads better then supermarket stuff and if you buy in bulk you can get some good prices (ask freinds and family if they want anything). ATB
  23. It depends on if its got "No Entry" signs or "no motor vehicles" signs at the end. Lots of one way streets in London have been changed to allow cyclists to go the "wrong way".
  24. Spot on. Wight loss is 95% diet and 5% exercise. However building muscle and fitness is all about exercise. ATB.

    age gap

Complicated question. If she's a mature 20 year old, then I suppose good luck to her and live and let live, let her make her own choices and decisions in life and learn by them. If she acts young and she's impressionable then research it and try to give her advice, if she'll listen to it. By 20 I had my own flat and mortgage, worked full time and was in the TA, if anyone tried to tell me how to conduct my private life I would have told then to F off. ATB
