Labradore x with magpie this evening

To answer your question it would seem that your dog has good drive, however as the 'experts' have said probably not the best type of bird to start your dog off on. -
Some of you guys posting about the RSPCA sound like a bunch of bunny loving, tree hugging, green, leftie, I'll tempered antis..... Get off yer moral high horses. The reason the dogs are sleeping outside is because they prefer it to their insulated stuffy kernels. Foxes, wild dogs, coyotes etc.... All live in holes under the ground, get grip lads.

Would the Vaseline wo k the same for boiled linseed oil?
-
It wasn't straight when I got it, it was bow shaped. I straightened it with a pot of boiling water and my knee. I have made plenty of hazel sticks. This is just the first blackthorn. It's been in my shed for years. Have a lot of hazel hanging up that's been drying out over a couple of years now, so I'm bitten by the stick making big again after a break of a few years.

I think it's starting to look quite nice now with the boiled linseed oil.

Would you seal the bark and all? I have just been doing a bit of work on a holly stick where I left just a little bit of bark on it, rubbed a few coats of boiled linseed oil; the bark took it very well but the skinned shank didn't get as glossy. I'ld say the boiled linseed oil would look well on the bark. Would the sealer soak into it. I have a bottle of Rustins sanding sealer. I was thinking of going for a dark filler on the handle, just a Ronseal brand. Would you have any recommendations?

This is the stick I'm working on, have it straightened and all the thorny bits taken off. Also have a ferrule on the end. Also removed the bark from what was the root and it is a nice shape, I'm doing this with a broken piece of glass. Just one issue and it's there's a crack in the handle which I must fill in. It should make a nice walking stick.

Hi All, Just wondering what do you finish your black thorn sticks with, was going to leave the bark on the stick. It has been in the shed nearly 4 or 5 years so its well seasoned.

There's a lot of that airsoft weaver style attachments on flea at which is good enough to mount a torch to a scope with. A lot of it comes in from China, you wouldn't be going off to war with it but it'll do for rabbits on a .22 or air rifle.

Suzuki Grand Vitara Gear oil being vented out rear diff
deeksofdoom replied to deeksofdoom's topic in Motoring Section
Thanks Tony, sounds like this is going to cost a fortune. -
My crock of **** Suzuki Grand Vitara has come up with another clanger of a problem. There is gear oil dripping from the rear axel, the cause of this is a gear oil coming out the breather/vent near the rear diff. Any ideas what is causing this, had it at the mechanics today for a service and he is checking it out for me, but i though aybe someone on here may have experience of the same problem.

I was wondering what people's opinions were on using airsoft components on hunting rifles. I'm not talking about using airsoft rails for scopes, but using a rail to add a rifle grip to a hunting rifle. I have stuck a weaver style rail on my CZ527 and added an angled fire grip, it makes for a very comfortable shooting position for standing shots, not using the afg in the AR style shooting buy just to pull the rifle back into my shoulder and lock the rifle clockwise. I can then rotate the rifle anti-clockwise with the right hand.

When did you put in the order? Maybe they don't work Saturdays? When I ordered mine they didn't have any in stock so they had to be manufactured, it took nearly a month but it was well worth the wait.
