  1. Hi fella, just being helpful but a picture is better than a thousand words, so any chance of some pic's? cheers, Chris
  2. Hi agusta, in that picture [which shows a badly finished chamber TBH] the "channel" [half round] looks plastic and should have attached sections to connect too. You can see the bits I mean either end of straight bit of channel, or is it possible to leave a small section [150mm] of pipe outside of chamber to connect to? Or is it all faulty? Worst case scenario is to bed plastic pipe on a mix of prompt cement, or a usable mix of neat cement [ordinary portland if poss, no addatives/plasticiser] and finish off joint with damp rubber gloves, similar to finishing mastic etc, then brick up where needed. I can picture what to do and it'd be easy for me, so I hope my advice is easy to understand. Any more help needed don't be shy on asking, if you do something wrong it could affect things along the drain run, and you could then be in the ****, literally. Good luck Chris >edit only use underground drainage connectors not multi-kwik "pan" connector as suggested <edit
  3. I see you finally got signed up Mav There a good bunch on there, mainly regards Chris

  6. Hi FB, I think I've said before that I'm only into shooting with air, but I do take in all I can from all shooting disciplines and like others, I really enjoy your "full length" posts. In them somewhere are hints and tips for all shooters, long term or still learning, like me :look: Your ethics are spot on too :look: regards Chris

    Pigeon prep,,,

Thanks fella's, that's exactly how I cook 'em Have seen that some people do brine soak them, but didn't want to waste a good bit of meat if it wasn't necessary Cheers again Chris
  10. Hi guys, just getting a few wood pigeons with my air rifle and have eaten 3 lots of breast, and it's delicious but I'm not sure if I should soak them for a while in salted water, like I do with rabbits. I've cooked them either the same day or the next, in an olive oil/garlic mixture with some seasoning and they tasted gorgeous, but will the taste improve if soaked and left longer? cheers Chris
  11. Hi fella, I'd agree with all the advice you've been given above but,,,, if you've only zeroed at 10yds, you will only be guessing at longer ranges. So I'd suggest setting out some targets at 5yd intervals and use your scopes mildots to see where the pellet strikes. You can then adjust your scope to have a 25 or 30yd zero and each mildot [assuming your scope has mildots ?] should be 5yds difference, with .22 but less with .177. This is an approx set-up, as your pellet choice and scope cross-hairs/mildots will have a unique setting, and this only you can set up If you don't do this, like I said, you'll only be guessing, and will miss and scare off your quarry, or worse still, possibly maim/injure, which I'm sure you don't want to do Anyway I hope this helps and good luck when you do get out atb Chris

    Our Law is Nuts

Not sure mate, but I know there is a height issue with spiked barriers, fences [wood or metal] and walls. As I said, your local Council Office should be able to tell you more info. Try Building Control to start with Good luck  regards Chris

    Our Law is Nuts

Bigbob is correct with the height issue of "spiky" deterrents. I'd check with your local authority on the finer details  As others have said, a spiky plant is quite legal, and a good thing to do, if it's practical in that position All the best Chris

    Legality

Hi EDR, I don't know why no-one's answered you on this Unfortunately I can't give you a difintive answer, only to say that as long as all parties involved are in agreement and the local Bobbies are informed, I'd say it should be ok. But think about your backstops and perhaps doing it at night when no-one about, putting signs up too maybe? Anyway, good luck and let us know how you get on. cheers JKD
  21. Here you go MC http://www.fieldsportschannel.tv/index.php Enjoy, it's really quite good :o :o
  22. More great footage Frenchie, very nice indeed but I couldn't help noticing they were looking directly at you most of the time. Perhaps they could hear that "elevator" music on your MP3 Try some heavy rock or similar to get them a bit more animated Seriously, you're doing it the best way, so make it quick,,,, I know you will
  23. Very nice to see that FB, shows some shooters have some heart and don't just blast away. Look forward to more footage, Cheers
