  1. I want one in mine, prefer a Hawker Hunter though!
  2. I'm after the big one with lock top for my rifle and the price seems good. Thanks both, I'll PM dekers after I've worked out whether it'll fit whether I currently have cab installed.
  3. Anybody got a DJS Gun Cabinet? Need a larger cabinet and have spotted these online so thought I'd see if anybody has got one and what they think of it before I place an order. any feedback much appreciated. Bugman

    iPad to tv v

There is a cable you can buy but Apple TV solved it and more for me!
  5. On the newest ranger there is a diff lock switch, as the drive system is alot more modern and fancy with traction control etc, but I thought it was an 04 ranger we was talking about. The switch then is to release the front free wheel hub remotely when your back on the road and travelling home. The 04 may have some other gadgets fitted but thought it would the same as my 56 pre facelift one I had. You can get front and rear diff lockers fitted that would have helped in this situation but didn't think ford fitted them as standard. Could be wrong though.
  6. The Ranger doesn't have a Diff Lock. Diff Lock is generally what permanent 4wds have so like a land rover etc. what a diff lock does on a land rover is to lock the centre diff in the transfer box so the same power and drive goes to the front and rear axles. The ranger doesn't have these working as it is 2wd and then when you select 4wd you get the same power to front and rear axles to help you keep moving. The front and rear axle have the limited slip diffs (on some models, others are just normal diffs) which help but in the case of White Lodge having the two wheels in the muck on the one side will mean all power goes to the wheels with least resistance and just spin if they can't get traction. Did you try reversing sharply as sometimes it'll just drive back out the tracks it went in with or moving your steering left to right when trying to go forward, as sometimes will help you gain a little traction from the tyre side wheels as they catch? Sorry if I bored you there!!! Lol
  7. I moved mine and then a few months later applied to have FAC on top of my current SGC. Didn't even bat an eye lid the cabinet had moved from where it was, just checked there was enough room for my increasing gun collection, separate locking for ammo and that it was well attached.
  8. You can get some spray on load liner, helps with sound a little but makes it heavy duty when throwing stuff in the back etc. Think its called Speedliner, its designed for pick up beds etc.
  9. Just checked the manual for mine and its useless. It gives a maximum of 1 7/8oz which is obviously more for the American market but then goes on to mention elsewhere that you use a piston marked 'Heavy Load' for anything 1 1/4 and above. (Not provided with then gun when new). Sorry not much help unless you can safely convert to 'english'.
  10. Top truck, want to get another one as soon as I can. Same as Gutty Boots, wouldn't go where Discoveries and Defenders I've had in the past but bung some decent all terrain tyres on least and its very capable, especially around a shoot. Good luck
  11. It's me Simon from work!!!!

  12. I've got a Ferret Finder 3 sat unused in the garage! I bought it and never used it and no longer have ferrets. If you want it you can have it for £80.

    .410 Wanted

That is a nice looking gun just stretching my budget a little too much. I seem to get a lot of " I've just sold one" kind of answers, didn't realise they were so sort after until I look into getting hold of one! Thanks so far for the responses though.

    .410 Wanted

I'm after a cheap 410 shotgun to get a youngster started in shooting. Don't want to spend too much in case they don't want to pursue it further and it can then sit in the cabinet for the next of the kids to get to that age in case they do. Let me know if you have anything that might be of interest. Cheers Bugman

    classic cars

I love the Healey 3000 as a child but always wanted sevral classics MGB GT being one and another being a Beetle. I've had several other classics but love the MG to pieces. I've also tinkered with sporty classic Fords but they have never taken off with me, I don't knock them just Mg is more me I think! Still realy want a VW Camper as the one I did have needed more work than I could muster a the time. Problem is now the prices have gone stupidily high!

    classic cars

My MG eats the UJ's on the proshaft and that is only having a moderate increase in power (or just the fact I drive it with the tail hanging out every where!). Would love a V8 version but really interested in the 6 cylinder MGC! A chap in my street has the straightest and most original Capri 2.8 I've ever seen, apparently its been in the usual ford and Capri mags etc. Can't see him putting a large V8 in it though!

    classic cars

I have a 1968 MGB GT with racing engine and a 1975 Beetle awaiting restoration!
  18. I had a Jack Russell bitch that went the same way! Nicest dog ever and then got to a certain age and just snarled and then eventually went for any body that went near her, wherever she was. Never did get to the bottom of it, we put it down to her age and that she had been prone to phatom pregnancies. Obviously with yours it might just be an age thing, but I seem to think that this didn't happen to mine until about 9 years old. Hope it isn't an issue like this with yours and his just having a bad week! One of my current Jack Russells always grumbles at me and stays away from me, humps only the other halves leg and becomes a cuddly toy for the kids that they can do anything to! I still can't work him out!
  19. I'm originally from Weedon but live and shoot a bit further along the A5 in the Long Buckby area.
  20. Stoke park thats it, its all coming back to me now!
  21. I think the place your thinking is Newbold Clay Shooting near Southam?! I think it is only open for organised comps though but not entirely sure! Also near Daventry is Barby Gun club. There is a place near Towcester and can't think where it is or what it is called! I work in Towcester and live near Daventry on the A5 so I'll ask a few friends and see if they can think of where it could be. Simon
  22. Vehicle is now on Autotrader for £9,000ono if any one is interested. Cheers Simon
