  1. It sounds like the thermostat is sticking, not opening when its supposed to, that would also be the cheaper option to remove/replace the stat. Failing that the next place I would look would be the water pump. HTH
  2. If this was a rabbit would I have killed it.. It was shot at 100yds with the HMR using Hornady 17gr rounds.... (I know this is an airgun and pigeon shooting forum but I was well chuffed with this shot )
  3. Apparently its a common problem and it happens with most makes not just CCI. I use Hornady's and I get the odd split case, I noticed it happened with the remmy's too when I was setting up and trying to see which was the better round.
  4. Maybe a daft answer, but they could be just plain hinge screws, they look like simple self tappers. Have you tried B+Q or somewhere similar..
  5. You do know where you're staying....its just the holidays that are in the window that haven't sold. If the flight is that day they wan't to sell them before the flight goes.
  6. Could suggest getting everything packed and ready to go, be prepared to go there and then and then going and waiting outside a holiday shop in town for them to open. Find out what deals are flying out that day and offer them half the price they are asking. They would rather sell at half the price than have nothing, we done this on a whim back in 1997, and we got a 1 week s/c 18-30 holiday to Ibiza 2nd week of August for £90 pp
  7. You are forgetting the 'open expense account and the company 4x4'
  8. I have the CZ American, I like the look of that stock How much and where can I get one from.. send by PM if you prefer
  9. Come to mention that, I haven't seen a hedgehog - even on the roads around here for quite some time now. On a golf course that I shoot air rifle over there were quite a few last year, but haven't seen a single one this year.
  10. he is sound bloke tell him you was talking to me [jason] Thanks Jason
  11. easy to identify, boxlocks have a shorter sideplate, that is the easy way to tell them apart The mechanisms are slightly different, the sidelocks are more complex And no i dont know why im answering all the questions for LG Cheers BIB, the question was for anyone....i'm still none the wiser....i'll have to have one of each in my hand to tell the difference
  12. well I thought this was the easter bunny...
  13. I know this is a stoooopid question but hey.....what do you mean when you say sidelock - boxlock etc..
  14. ask for an open ticket. i'm sure he'll have no problem with that after just 3 weeks LOL
  15. No Cramp I haven't fella...will have to check him out...Dai his name is yeah....
  16. Yup much dearer, I will be applying for a variation in 2-3 months for a 22LR but the 17 is much more fun... The CCI rounds down here for the 22LR are roughly £4-£6 per 100
  17. I'm using the Hornady Express 17gr, found them to be much better than the remmy's, CCI or the TNT's My local RFD only has the CCI tnt £17.50 per 100, so will have to see how they do when i get it. Thats what they are down here I think....the cheapest i've found Hornady's are £20 per 100 from Litts....
  18. I ain't got that many bloody rabbits on my shoot lol....I gotta get my other bits of land opened up for the 17
  19. I'm using the Hornady Express 17gr, found them to be much better than the remmy's, CCI or the TNT's
  20. went out for an hour last night, fairly windy and spots of rain but still got these two, 1x at 70yds and 1x at 80yds(both paced out) Getting used to it now, confidence is growing.
  21. Phil thats the guy, these Dragon mods are fully strippable making them real easy to clean.
  22. The mod came with the gun when I bought it but I believe the price is around £40-£50 As stated that econo-pod was just to prop it up for the photo. That group was shot from a bench but freehand(no benchrest), not from a bipod.
  23. cheers Mark, knew I could rely on you for a buck me up...... tart!!! The Dragon mod is made by a local RFD down this way in sunny Wales. I have seen this tested side by side against the DM80, Sak and the PH mod and I gotta say its much better, well better than the last 2, slightly better than the DM80(IMO) but the dragon mod is half the size of the DM80 and only slightly bigger than the sak.
