  1. Bypass the Police. Just feed 'em to the pigs, Errol. Glad the car is still in your posession tho.
  2. I love SJ's My old one went to Mongolia on the (oddly enough) London - Mongolia rally. All she needed was a wheel bearing :look: How much Rich?
  3. The company gave me a licence for home as well as my workstation at the office Tut tut tut - naughty pirates!
  4. Had a fondle of one at the CLA. Quite nice, but.. I dunno. I think I prefer to see a fat lump on the end of the barrel instead of a shrouded one.
  5. Mr Ferret - stay in touch when it comes to the season then  We usually have 120-180 bird days, with a beaters day at the end of the season too. It's quite informal and always a good laugh with the beaters - plenty of mickey taking  Plus the dogs don't have to be 100% on the ball (thank god! I'd be banned for life otherwise!!) like they would at Batsford. Nice to have you up here too
  6. Split charge system allows 2 (or more) batteries to be charged independantly from one alternator, topping up charge on the batteries as and when needed. Great to keep high-current stuff seperate from your starting battery - for instance if you want to use a winch non stop for 2 hours without the engine running, you'd want to use something as a seperate source than the battery used to start the vehicle.
  7. I'm almost sure you'll never have to touch G codes in anyway these days. Our stuff at work just gets a DXF or IGES shot at it, and the CAM software just wants to know a datum and where to start machining. I think this is what Mach3 does, though I am not familiar with the product. I've used Solidworks for 10 years now (VX vision before that), and there are many nice plug-ins and add-ons to spit out G-code from it directly.
  8. Not too far from me too Blockley area (yes the brick works is still thre) is where we have our shoot, so plenty of beating for you Not on the Batsford estate tho...some of Mr Bond's phesants do like to wander Lygon Arms in Campden is a nice place for a beer - also owned by one of the gents on the shoot. You moving up for good?
  9. Dan, Got a link to where you got the mill from at all please? As a design engineer (by occupation) and aero-modeller (by hobby), I have the need for a small CNC router / mill for wood and carbon fibre items. Cheers, Andy

    Top Gear

It's been a pants season...till now. Great episode, well worth the wait for a good 'un
  11. Lots of pictures of totty wearing tweed mini-skirts, tight blouses, and dubarry boots. Oh, and a few bits and pieces for me and the dog too.
  12. Is there a router involved? Have a login to it and make sure port 80 isn't being blocked there. Can you open a cmd window and ping www.google.co.uk? If you are getting the ping out, then the machine software must be at fault. Check windows firewall has an exception or is turned off. Search for iexplore.exe on the computer, make sure it's there.
  13. Bring your wellies. Not much let-up here in rain for the past 3 days, and monday we had a good thunderstorm with a lot of rain.

Yes...cos the rolling over of 3 wheelers never got boring at all...even when carried over into the next episode. Oh how no-one laughed. Also, fixed this for you :

Getting soooo bored of TG currently. It all feels so staged and stagnant, no decent challenges any more. Oh look, Hamster drove into Capt. Slow's car again... This season - pants.
  17. Very small B roads in the area, it will be very hard to get in and out I fear. I only live 3 miles away and am considering hiking it in!
  18. Dan, Being a local, I know a lot of the local good sites. Try here first (my local boozer, but good quiet site) : http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1381 Dodwell also good : http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/details.asp?revid=1686 If they are full, let me know and I can give you some more. Cheers, Andy
  19. One way to mix good old NATO green, is one part bright yellow, and one part black, in case you can't find supplies of what you want nearby. I believe this is how they used to paint the green on old WW2 bombers. Nice Jimny too btw
  20. Hi mate, I'm a local (3 miles away) - very good pub (my local) has a small campsite that will probably have some space : http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?revid=1381 Tel: 01789 772279 Cheers, Andy

    X-Trail

A couple of shooting mates them use to great success, both have the turbo diesel models, and I've seen neither of them stuck. Thinking of getting one for the Mrs as a daily driver soon, as I fancy going back to some faster stuff
  22. Camper-vanner myself Not sure what the attraction is in sleeping on beds that are only a (hopefully cleaned..) thin sheet away from a mattress that's seen god knows what on it recently :S I don't enjoy other people's bodily fluids much! Plus, it means I get to go where I want, when I want, and the Dog comes too
  23. I got one too, but not the one advertised! Very nice polish lady came back from staff room with a 5x50 digital version. Was only a tenner more. Will be sorting brackets in near future.
