  1. Hi Seamus Please email me your contact details and I will let you know if any spaces become available in the future. Colin
  2. The shoot that we run includes about 200 acres of Forestry woodland. We also shoot over a large acreage of farm land which borders about half of the perimiter of the woodland. We only shoot about a 1/3rd of the woodland, which is effectively the edge which borders the rest of our shoot. Birds do wander especially later in the season, but we try to hold them by feeding heavily. Dog walkers are not so much of a problem as our wood is not that popular because there are other woods with easier access near by, so we dont get many. Without the farm land, we would not have a viable shoot as it would be too easy for the surrounding land owners to feed the birds out of the woods onto their own shoots. Your circumstances may be different, but I think that you need to be able to shoot over at least some of the surrounding land to make it work.
  3. Eley make a 28 gauge VIP in Bismuth which, as far as I know, is the only no toxic 28 gauge load available in this country
  4. Any good quality game cartridges will cost that sort of money. When driven pheasants cost £20-£30 per bird to shoot, £60 for cartridges is not the most expensive part of the day.... My favorite cartridges are Gamebore Black Gold 32g 5's, they are very hard hitting
  5. Barley is the best feed if you can get it, feed it around the edge of the water and the shallow margins in the afternoons to attract ducks in the evening. I find the auto feeders work well as they reduce the amount of disturbance at the pond and they feed every day.
  6. The spare syndicate place has now been taken. Thank you for everyones interest.
  7. Which chemist do you use? I don't live too far from you. What do you dilute it with, water or vegtable oil?
  8. These are the ones I am using at the moment: Auto feeder Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, these are the best I have used. Steel construction, powerful motor and easy to set up and use. I also brought rechargable batteries and solar chargers which are working well. I have two of them fitted to 45 gallon drums which spread feed into the shallows of the pond.
  9. One gun available in South Northants syndicate. 1,500 pheasant, 300 duck and 250 partridge released, shooting 8 days over woodland and cover crops. Pigeon and vermin shooting during February and March included. £1,700 per gun, 1/2 guns considered. Viewings welcomed.
  10. We are thinking about using some aniseed in our feeders this year to try to hold the birds a bit better. Which is better, powder or oil? or can anyone recommend a particular product? Also, how do you treat your feed with aniseed? There must be an easy way of treating a ton of wheat? Thanks in advance Colin
  11. Very true, but its much easier to get cartridges suitable for shooting geese for the 12g. I would take which ever you have the most suitable cartridges for.
  12. What rate do you dilute the Panacur at?
  13. As above brilliant cartridges, I use 32g no.5 all the time for game shooting. Not cheap, but the price is similar to other premium game cartridges. Definately try some.

  15. The 31x10.5x31 are almost 1 1/2" taller that standard 265/70x15 so you will need four tyres or you may damage the transmission. 31x10.5x15 is a common size and I have them fitted to my Shogun with no problems. Have a look on ebay as second hand sets sometimes come up on there. Colin
  16. Hi What sort of condition is this in? would you post it? Thanks Colin
  17. Hi Reegy Just to let you the ducks we bought from you have settled in really well and are looking great. Thanks for your help. Colin
  18. These people do a straight line feeder http://www.paddlesdown.co.uk/prods/274.html No idea how well they work as i have not used one.
  19. Hi The standard barrel will fit a stock that has been inletted for a .920" barrel, but there will be a huge gap between the forend area of the stock and the barrel. The standard barrel is narrower and probably tapers, but the .920" barrel is the same diameter all along its length.
  20. Hi I will take both and collect. I have sent you a PM. Kind regards Colin
