22 July 10 ish Doveridge

Had a picky posted (by Ive) of head shot rabbits. 75yds / 95yds / and 110yds 2 of the rabits the 95 and 110yd were at the time only 15 yards apart just goes to show that the noise didnt bother them that much, till it was too late.

how about the 22.07 its the only saturday i have off next month. Not your Birthday is it Ive ?

Any one interested in a clay shoot at Doveridge next month ?

Ive also come across little pockets of green water on rabbit livers, smells like algy/pond weed, quite bizaare. Alex Hi Alex the small water filled pocket as you describe is the gall bladder (it contains what is called "bile" it is used in the body to help break down fat and help with digestion) try not to burst this or get any on the liver or meat as it will give it a very bitter taste. always try and pull it off or cut well away from it.

Crumple a oxo cube over your meat the night before and pop it in the fridge , deadly on barble and carp if your fishing a near bank swim try corned beef made in a paste (mustard) tight line,s rob cheers Rob will give it a go, must admit thats one i havnt tried. Over the years ive found it harder to find the swims that hold the Barble, they did a fair bit of work on the Dove years ago and they dont seem to be in the same spots. Never mind all part of the game. I will start and get some hemp ready by the gallon.

Im looking forward to some nice Barble from the Dove, but not able to go until monday. Best day catch were 10.5 lb and another at 11.25lb on luncheon meat with Marmite on

Nobodys mentioned the Ripley. I used one about 5 years ago. they are completely dead on firing. its not until you see the target fall that you realise that that squeeze on the trigger actually did some thing. But they are expensive I would seriously have a look at the HW100 i think they are quieter than the AAs.IMO

feeling really "P",ed off wish i could have come had to go and earn a penny or 2 and sit in on a boring disciplinary course for 3 hours. Kept looking out the window wishing i was outside like being back at school again. Nice pictures miffy Ive wot happened to the HMR WOT HAVE YOU DONE

have to say with great dissapointment i have to go to work. A great shame i cant take fire arms to work with me i could try and hit one from work as its only about 3 miles away could work out trajectories out and all that but a few trees in the way. Only a hour ago it out shot Dougys Ruger ............And I now know that it prefers Federal seeing as I've just purchased 500 Hornady Yes ,see you on tuesday ILL BE BACK dirty barrel :o 12 hour shift 3 hours sleep headache not washed my hair wrong shoes just wait and see.

Must say Ive it looks a good job well smart i can see now why you didnt whant to go shooting the other day. Yes you have made a nice job of grouting between your slabs OH AND NEARLY FORGOT yes it is a really nice pattern on the stock. Will have to have a day out see what its like on paper, Will give you advance warning if it shoots better than mine Ill pee in your boots. And tell everyone what you said about CZs looks very nice

sorry give me a few minutes got side tracked been trying to find out about a crossman 140 chap at works given it to me to try and mend. wont hold pressure. after an exploded diagram.

Looked like a .308 size hole :yp: that was the drawing pin that got shoved through the back stop that made that hole. rite am going to have a look in a minute see if i can find it :yp:
