  1. i was parked off the road in a gate way on the A 50 he thought it was a bit sus so he pulled over to have a look. i did ask if he was called but he said not. checked all my paper work and was ok. aked who my FLO was and told me that he was'nt Derbyshire, i said that i didnt know him as i was Staffs, seemed a nice chap Photo copy of all i have Hunter, as much as possible. was impressed with the shots all head shots 2 of them only 4feet apart just goes against what folk say about the HMR being too noisy. best one was 140 yds ish that was the bottom one. I know the land so have a good idea of the distance. aimed just at the base of the earas you can see "bob on"
  2. being as the weather was a bit better i thought ide pop out for a bit of shooting. just as i got back to the car PC plod turned up to see if ide had a good night. he was quite interested wanted to know all sorts checked all paper work had a peep at bunnies and stuff said farewell and all was good.
  3. If your hitting the odd 24 and only been shooting since July then i would be well chuffed. well done All i can manage is at best 23 i seem to loose it just after the middle stand. Went today and with the wind and other distractions ie; the wrong colour cartridges and people behind asking if i had missed any ( MIFFY SPARKIE) i am sure that i could shoot a straight every time Any way anything in the 20s is a good round as far as i see well done and go for the 25 straight ill have a party ratboy quoted:- Have skeet rules changed over the years? The reason I ask is that I found 2 or 3 sites that seemed to show different birds at different stations.the day i do it dont know about the rules there but most of us shoot in the UK there is a difference between the Olimpic yes as the birds are allot quicker.
  4. Not 100% sure:- stand 1 ; 1 high 1 low then pair taking high first stand 2 ; 1 high 1 low then pair taking high first stand 3 ; 1 high 1 low stand 4 ; 1 high 1 low then pair. stand 5 ; 1 high 1 low stand 6 ; 1 high 1 low then pair. not sure if you have to nominate high or low for the pair stand 7 ; 1 low 1 high then pair taking the low first
  5. Fedaral "V" max £9.00 - 50. Picked up 1000. dont like to run short. i have seen them for £11.65 robin B******.
  6. Should have said, I wont say that i am the best person that's ever been Fereting. But i used to go loads years ago. Nearly always got 20 plus, best ever morning was 37 Not into Ferrets that bite though, takes the enjoyment out of it
  7. Sound gun i used to have one over 30 years ago used to pop off loads of pigeons that used to perch on a telegraph pole in the corner of the garden and nearly all head shots. wasnt till some time after i found out that they were not pigeons that you were supposed to shoot Well they used to eat my Dads Veg as for 12ft lb not sure its pushing it a bit for a small chamber.. Most probably about 8ft lb
  8. What your after were origanly called and marketed by OX as in OX air rifle springs they were called "OX NATO" they were made out of Alloy and not lead 18gr I used them in a Galaxy they were ok but i found that they didnt do much damage to the quarry and had more that enough runners. One i remember was a rabbit shot through the shoulder head on and the Ox Nato went straight through the rabbits loin and ended up in its leg. Not sure if you can still get them, i was looking for them this year at weston for a 60ftlb Air gun Try Manchester air guns
  9. Can i come too on nights but should think i could manage an hour or 2
  10. i was told that they were used originaly in the older guns that had the leaf springs that would over a period of time weaken being under strain. but since the use of superior steel coil springs and different firing mechanism's they are not needed as they used to be, but there again i dont know much any way  i do have some and use them if im swinging in the house

  15. yes supply and demand i'm afraid RFDs know that there has been a shortage in the country so "hey they need to buy them so lets charge more for them" kind of attitude. My HMR is a real fussy ****** as far as ammo is concerned it will only group well with Feds (the most expensive) out of 375000 fed 17HMR ordered only 48000 came into the country. I found a supplier they sold them to me for £96.50 for 500. I was expecting to pay quite a bit more than that.

AND WOTS UP WITH RUGER mine is a bute shoots like a dream now. But probably out of your price range seriously though whatever you go for you will have allot of fun using it its a great little round, it may take a few rounds though to find the most accurate, and the cleaning of it will baffle you. As in, do i clean it this way that way with this or with that. Its a very fussy calibre as you will find out. Buy what you are happy with and dont take too much notice of allot of biast oppinions. I my RUGER 77/17
  17. Have you thought about the amount of shots that you would get 177 and the FN12 i think it would be a wast of time for the effort. you would be better off going for a 22 as far as FAC is concerned, and a larger air cappacity. IMO
  18. Unfortunately I've just gave all my old Gun Mags away (To Dougy )or I would be showing the picture I'm talking about . Im all ears Ive which one are you looking for i will try and find it.
