  1. I believe the solution is not to buy another, but gently straighten the buckled one. Some have been brutal, but had good results.
  2. Warlock - you were right to complain. That said - Forseys have admitted to less than perfect service and apologised. They come accross as trying to put things right. Meet them halfway.
  3. LV - spot on. Forseys can damage their reputation over a few pounds or enhance it at very little outlay. Nice bit of free advertising in fact.
  4. If you return the uniform etc - you are then in the right. If they do not pay you what they owe you, this puts them in the wrong. It is better, as a generality, to be sueing someone, than them sueing you. You can do small claims on-line:- https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp
  5. I like trap guns. They are all I own. I have an XT Browning sat in my safe. I am not using it - my lad won't have it as a gift. I thought I might swap it for something else. Lack of something to spend my money on. If I don't buy a gun, I will probably invest in more tools for my garage. I have many thosands of pounds worth, but you can never have too many. Bit like guns. I might well try one - now understand the PM.
  6. Why? Not much of an opinion. Does that mean - why do I want one, never having held one? Or why a Zoli? I read a review of one - detachable lock etc. I just fancy one as a spare.
  7. I was thinking of getting one of these, but never seen one in the flesh. Anyone own or use one? Opinions would be appreciated.
  8. Shot a bit of floodlit skeet with Baikals, many years ago. Impressive sight - flamethrowers on steroids.
  9. Anything less than £300 looks a bargain to me. Looks like a decent gun.
  10. Anyone explain what is going on? I was interested, but now a bit unsure.
  11. Tried the ear muffs today. Can't fault them.
  12. Depends which it is. If it is similar to a Lanber - not a full width pin - it is really a Franchi - they were in the 700 series - okay budget gun, but Lanber is better for the money. 700 series - £300 if mint. If it is the 800 series - full width hinge pin - same as a Browning or Miroku, then it was made by Winchester. 800 series - £500 mark if mint. The wood and engraving on the 803 trap gun was the same as Winchester Grand European standard - excellent guns.
  13. Met the neighbours today. Mentioned Party Walls Act 1996 and they said they had only been thinking about doing the road, despite saying to Julie that they were starting work. All on the backburner. Photos taken of the wall and road. Martin and Julie are taking the precaution of getting a surveyor, plus checking with their insurance and solicitor. Thanks for all advice.
  14. Advice welcome and appreciated. Just plan to listen to what he has to say, send him away and take advice. I was tempted to send my "little lad" round to see them. Only joking. :look:
  15. I'm meeting the spokesperson tomorrow, so will know more then. I suspect the rest of his neighbours have no idea what they are getting into.
  16. Julie and Martin thought they got okay with a couple of them and were a bit upset that they had said nothing. If it were my decision, I would make them pay to upgrade, but they have to live there.
  17. Thanks for the replies so far. The road is gravel at the moment. The cottage residents want to upgrade to cobbles. No doubt it will be easier on their cars, cleaner and will increase the value of the property. Lad at the Council Highways, said Council would not become involved, even though it is a conservation area. He commented on the potential damage to the wall being my son's liabilty as "Cobblers". He said they should get legal advice and check the deeds. He siad that unadopted roads like these are normally jointly owned by the properties either side, with the boundary being in the middle. He said that the cottagers have a right of way which cannot be blocked. His advice was to let them do whatever they wanted with half the road (with the consent of the other owner), but refuse them permission to touch my son's half. This clearly depends on the deeds. My son, Julie and myself think that it is reasonable, as good neighbours, to let them upgrade, but with the proviso that they foot the bill for any damage.
  18. My son and partner Julie own a kids nursery. One of the boundary walls is one side of an unadopted road, leading to four cottages. A spokesperson for the cottages has just visit the nursery to announce that they are having the road cobbled. During this process, they expect the foundations of the wall to be damaged and that any subsequent wall failure and repair will be down to my son and partner. My soon-to-be daughter in law queried this and the spokeperson said he had looked in to the matter and he was correct. My initial reaction was that he was an idiot. If someone damaged my wall, they would pay for it. No question. Any planners or legal eagles who can assist or point us in the right direction?
  19. Just bought a pair of the green ones. Seem okay.
  20. LV - nice to see some garages haven't forgotten customer service.
  21. My father shot game with a single barrel. I have shot for 45 years. Both my sons have shot, but only the youngest currently. Eldest was a very good shot, but hasn't done it since breaking his back - now recovered.
  22. I didn't honestly know they made a grade 7. Thought they stopped at 5.
  23. I have heard that they are well made, but rust at the drop of a hat.
  24. I agree after further research. I would be inclined to get an MK38 - a lot newer and same money.
