  1. Made from approx 1975 to 1995. Sold as a game / clay gun - bit of an all-rounder. Very Similar to Browning 325 and Miroku 3800. Very nice guns. Try here http://www.shotgunworld.com/
  2. The daughter should serve the full 11 years if she doesn't accept her guilt. Her parents should be detained under the Mental Health Act. Cretins - the lot of them.
  3. If it had recently been MOT'd, I am surprised the defence barrister didn't call the MOT tester as a defence witness, unless it would have made it worse. He could have got an MOT with a list of advisories, which he ignored. We don't have enough to fully judge, but I don't recall the defence disputing the state of the Landrover. He was also driving too fast.
  4. Get a Franchi Fast. Had hold of one last weekend. Built by Benelli - it's stamped on the receiver. Recoil action - Franchi, Benelli and Beretta are all part of the Beretta group - only about £500 cheaper.
  5. Get a Frontera. I had one which had clocked 108k when I got rid. Cheapest and most reliable car I have owned - and I have owned 94.
  6. The only Ultra Plus models on GT are the black action with gold inlay. Very good gun, made early to late 1990s. Top quality, but 28" version will be worth less than longer barrelled. The two on GT are £845 and £895.
  7. Four Optima extended chokes:- Cylinder - brand new IC - very slightly used Mod -very slightly used Imp Mod - brand new £25 each or £95 the lot plus postage. Two free genuine Beretta choke keys thrown in if buying all four.
  8. I think they were made from early 90's. Red ones preceded them and then your gun. They were superceded by the Ultra XS, around 2000 I think. There is another thread on Miroku dates, so you can accurately date your gun. In their day they were state of the art competition guns and still hold up well today.
  9. http://www.midwestgunworks.com/merchant2/m...ry_Code=C-015-6 Manufacture "Configuration Types" of the Citori Pre Type 1 ---Manufactured 1973 through 1976 Type 1 ---Manufactured 1977 Only Type 2 ---Manufactured 1978 through 1982 Type 3 ---Manufactured 1983 through present What "Configuration Type", "Tang Style", and "Forearm Bracket" is your Citori? 1. Locating your serial number The true complete serial number of the Citori can only be found underneath of the TOP LEVER. All other numbers represent production sequence only and are used by the factory to denote what barrel set is paired with an individual receiver. See figure 1-A to locate the top lever on your firearm. (Figure 1-A) 2. Reading Your Serial Number Below use the chart to determine the manufacture year of your Citori Date Historic Information Serial Number Info 1973-75 In 1969 Browning started using two digits for the date of manufacture which was followed by on of the following codes: H=12 ga. N=20ga. Later the code was changed to J=both gauges This was then followed by the serial number beginning with 00001. Example: 00001H37 = A 1973 Citori 12 ga. shotgun with a serial number of 00001. H=12 ga. N=20 ga. Later the code was changed to J=both gauges 1976-1997 In 1975 Browning standardized its serial number identification which it follows to the present day. 1. Production Sequence Number beginning with 01001 at the start of each year. 2. Date of Manufacture is a two digit code Z=1 Y=2 X=3 W=4 V=5 T=6 R=7 P=8 N=9 M=0 Serial Number Example: 1000RT153 This would be a Citori manufactured in 1976 with the production sequence number 01001. 1999 In 1998 Browning redid the standardization of its serial number identifications to work with its new data base program, Oracle. 1. Serial Number beginning with 01001 at the start of each year. 2. Date of Manufacture is a two digit code Z=1 Y=2 X=3 W=4 V=5 T=6 R=7 P=8 N=9 M=0 3. Citori Type 131=All Citori Shotguns Serial Number Example: 01001NN131 This would be a Citori Shotgun, manufactured in 1999 with the serial number 01001 Using the above chart you should now be able to distinguish if your Citori is Pre Type 1, Type 1, Type 2, or Type 3 Pre Type 1 - Manufactured from 1973 - 1976 Type 1 - Manufactured only in 1977 Type 2 - Manufactured from 1978 through 1982 Type 3 - Manufactured from 1983 - Present
  10. For that money you can get an Escort auto which will shoot far better than any of us will. Good luck.
  11. I owned a Browning GTi (red inlay) - top flight gun - well balanced. I think the Gti Ultra is the Gold inlay that superceded it. You can check dates on:- http://www.midwestgunworks.com/merchant2/m...ry_Code=C-015-6
  12. I used to eat Chicken Tarka - it's very similar to Chicken Tikka, but a little 'otter.
  13. James - you should have no problems. Good luck.
  14. Buy a Ruby - identical and a lot cheaper.
  15. I have owned a fair number of Browning, Miroku and Berettas. I still own an MK38 and a 425 XT. I bought a Caesar Guerini Summit Trap last summer. It is certainly as well made as the Miroku / Brownings and better wood to metal fit than a Beretta. They seem to be very well put together. Handling is deceptive. Mine weighs more than the others in my collection, but feels lighter and better balanced. I am impressed. A few friends have used it and a few people who have just asked for a try. All impressed and my friends are not to types to spare my feelings. Gun for pounds - they are excellent value for money. I would imagine that once they are established over here - as they have become in USA - prices will go up sharply.
  16. Entwistles at Preston - 15 miles. http://www.entwistleguns.com/index.php/ Malmo Guns - well worth a visit http://www.malmoguns.com/ McAvoys - excellent. http://www.guns.gb.com/#1X0 Bamfords - large selection http://www.rbamfordguns.co.uk/
  17. Police have a device which goes either side of the glass and passes light through. Either 65 or 70% light has to pass through it, or you are in a spot of bother. Favourite for nicking cocky young drivers. The other is the tyre pressure - has to be within 2lbs of spec. 3 points per wheel.
  18. As I understand the position, there are three Rizzinis. One is extremely dear. One is okay, but not as good as the Beretta. The third is not a patch on the Beretta. If they are comparable prices, the Beretta is clearly the winner - by a large margin.
  19. Only report I heard was that they haven't found the blade. Bit big to lose. As for an aircraft hitting it - I don't think there is a plane which could survive that impact. Also very low for a plane.
  20. I have mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, I accept people do daft things, but can change. On the other - a year ago he thought he might dabble in drugs, got caught and punished. When he accepted the caution, he should have digested what it meant. The full impact of having the drugs and the effect on his future. Does he think it is now okay to apply for a FAC? It could be said that he hasn't faced up to what he has done.
  21. You could try the wanted section on here. A lad was selling stacks of Remi spares a couple of months ago.

    frozen

A mate has gone to Australia for 11 weeks and left me in charge of his pond. Full of expensive carp. Pond froze over yesterday. I gently broke the ice, by leverage - not banging. Does anyone know if it will be okay to leave it frozen over? He had a pump putting air into the pond.
  23. Peter - well done. You have come a long way in a short time. Whilst I still have a Browning XT and a Miroku MK38 Trap, I turned to the dark side and bought a Caesar Guerini Summit Trap this year. Suits me fine. Don't shoot competitions - haven't done for quite a few years. It has not helped my shooting. Years ago, the air turned blue when I missed or a bin got a kicking, but I didn't miss much. I did the rounds of Sporting re-entries and pool shoots around the North West. Won many times, loft full of trophies, won a fair bit of money, but my best days are gone. The lads I shoot with don't enter competitions and that takes the competitive edge off for me.
  24. Before some clay grounds stipulated fibre wads only, plastic wad cartridges were dearer. The minute some extra way of extracting money from shooters presented itself - a miracle happened - fibre wads rose in price.
