  1. There was one on here recently with reloading components - same make - £50.
  2. Just bought the last 2000 Eley Olympics from Tim McAvoy Guns - £126 per 1000. He only got his order Xmas Eve.

    motocross

I've had motocross bikes most of my life - on and off. Last was a CR500. My lads raced AMCA - eldest in Open Experts - youngest in Open Seniors. Eldest raced CR500s and then 360 KTM. Broke his back in his comeback meeting after 5 years out. Youngest had Husky 577 TC and a 380 KTM. Broke his shoulder - plated - and bad leg break - 13 weeks in plaster. Both knocked it on the head. Best handling bike was the Husky, but the 380 KTM was the quickest bike you could buy. Left CR500s, CR450s and any Japanese machinery for dead.
  4. Andy - I am buying 2000 Eleys tomorrow. Can't decide - First at £124 or Olympics at £126.
  5. Just finishing off 1000 Hull Comp X. 600 were a black case and jammed in a friend's Beretta auto. I was not impressed by the kills. 400 were a shorter red case, of different manufacture, with different brass and primer. These were infinitely superior. I presume Hull use another manufacturer.
  6. So that is who Evil Elvis is. The name sounded familiar, but something or two kept distracting me.
  7. Our big Akita had the runs. Took him to the vets on Friday. She asked what it looked like. I said it was my wife who had witnessed it. She said it would have been better if she knew what it looked like. As I stood at the counter pressing the credit card buttons, my foot felt very warm. The dog had squirted **** all over my trainers, socks and trousers (all now in the bin - the stench was awful). I turned to the vet and said - "your wish is granted".
  8. I was tempted to comment on the ownership, but thought I would be the only cynic. If I was your friend, I would check ownership with the Police before I got into a bit of bother. If they are okay, he is sitting on a junior goldmine. If they are not, he may welll regret not handing them in straight away. Not sure where he stands - certificate wise.
  9. Assuming they are in decent nick, you will looking at a few thousand. You could probably buy a new small car and have change.
  10. The Sweeney stands the test of time. The Avengers, from when Diana Rigg took over from Honor Blackman, seems even better now. Way ahead of its time. Monty Python has aged badly. At the time, I thought 50% was brilliant and 50% poor. Nowadays, I struggle to find the funny bits. It gained cult status on the back of "no-one expects the Spanish Inquisition" and the Dead Parrot sketch.
  11. I manage a Team investigating organised fraud - identity, cheque, credit card fraud, forgery and counterfeiting.
  12. It entirely depends on your budget, but Miroku are the best gun per pound - bar none.
  13. Browning or Wichester Invector chokes fit Mossberg. http://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic....=caesar+guerini
  14. Stensbys Manchester £65 - good as new. http://www.wdlr.org.uk/stensby/repairs.htm
  15. I could have a look at it tomorrow night. Live within 10 miles.
  16. I trust he will meet lots of new friends in prison. May he rot in hell.

    Anniversary

38 years in March 2009. The woman must be a saint.
  18. Depends how much you want to spend. Range Rover - brilliant but expensive. Isuzu - good value for money. Disco - very impressive - had a "Landrover Experience Day" in one. Couldn't fault it.
  19. You can get the friction Teague type on the big auction site.
  20. http://www.gun-safes.co.uk/products/6/12/r...gun_sight_71mm/ These are made by Ruby. I can't tell the difference between these and Truglow which are far dearer. My son and I have these - excellent and very well made.
  21. I have a shotgun certificate and object to them collecting data. What are they using it for? I sincerely doubt that it complies with the Data Protection Act. If you only need to show your SGC and fill in a form, it is hardly difficult to obtain one and proves nothing. Imagine if somone had access to their records - it would be a burglar's delight.
  22. Stayed at the Merlin Court ten years ago - very good, but it has changed hands since. Shooting is superb at Ilfracombe - three grounds within two miles of town - I have shot at two of them - excellent. http://www.dedes-holidays.co.uk/ http://www.iknow-devon.co.uk/accommodation...-ilfracombe.htm http://www.bathhousehotel.co.uk/shooting.htm http://www.travbuddy.com/Carlton-Hotel-Ilfracombe-v218880 There are probably more.
  23. One of the best articles I have read in a long time.
  24. Carl Froch deservedly won, but both he and Pascal were there to fight and were well matched. After watching Amir Khan fight hand picked opponents to build up a record, it makes a change. In Khan's case he came unstuck when they, very unsportingly, hit him back. Froch should have boxed more, rather than a street fight, but he showed he has a chin.
