    Big buck.

I agree, I should..... But if we thought about boundries and fighting and RTA's we would never recon only shoot all the deer we see. LOL You did the right thing if thats what you wanted. I try and use invites to shoot deer now and leave mine for my clients. Rarely even shoot culls myself now. But I have loads of clients and am out every day so need every deer to keep them happy and coming back. I am also lucky with the invites and do still get to shoot a few as well as going abroad.... I try and keep all the foxes for myself though, they are my passion.

Speaking as a guide Birx, I cannot work out why you shot such a good animal on a recon mission? surely you would have a client who would PAY for such a buck? Not a dig. I'm just curious. I admit I treat myself now and again and should do more often but it stings the pocket when I do LOL

  4. thats live ammo in the cinema, you'd need 10 ton of sand behind the sofa to soak them bullets up LOL
  5. Still putting together a package deal and am wondering if there are any shooters interested in 2 days driven (cinema and outdoor range) in Denmark. Dates will be 23rd+24th march to shoot and a days travelling at one end or the other. Please pm me if you want details as they emerge.
  6. I had out the guy who is head of department for this in texas. His fravorite gun was a slug gun and holo sight fitted. He killed 100's a year. Invited me over for a go at coyotes but couldn't wangle the chopper. LOL He said the hog population in texas was 6 for every person. He shot a nice buck with me but got very excited about shooting the x2 foxes under the lamp as they cannot do that there.

  11. I was sat with my rem mag in a high seat on a wild red cull. (the shots may have been very long). when the phone signaled the reds were on the neighbours which gave us the ok to shoot other deer. These deer appeared at the bait station only 70 m's from where i was. The 162 gr cone points were a little over gunned for the munties. But it was a cull aand none ran LOL

  14. Some memories there mate. thanks for posting.... regards john
  15. I was'nt on the camera but the rifle. The lamp was at the foxes feet so the camera struggled with the focus also it was zoomed fully so dosen't make for great video. But the mic picked up the "strike" nicely and you can tell by the time of flight and sound delay it was 200m
  16. Day 1 (12th) is sold i am now told. I have 8 regular guns and lee is bringing a furter 12. Making 20 x2 10's Just re-read the original post and he says 16. This is not his fault I told him we needed at least 16 to operate a day propley but 20 is better.. Drives are pegged for 9 but as they are to mop up partridge we can stand 10 or have a back gun. So just be aware on the day. No suprises then. regards to all john
