well i'm hoping because the ruts been **** the false rut will be a good one. heres hoping. reckon i'm 15 bucks down now.#worked very hard in the rain to maintain the numbers but have lost big time with the poor calling. 71 bucks this season so far.

Have 3 days off clients now to ready my shoot for the partridges. Rut never got going here. think i called a record number of does up but very few had bucks in tow. we shot a few bucks but had to work extra hard for them. yesterday mornings buck poorest rut on my records. still the bucks will be there for later. also got alot to do to get ready for my trips abroad. kick off next month in lapland after cappercallie and black grouse. It rained heavy today so just had a chill day to recharge not had a day off in a month, thats alot of 4a.m starts.

It was off sticks and at about 125m's. As for the camera I don't think the client knew I was filming it was a kill shot non the less when hit with a heavy bullet in a deer calibre rifle.

No camo makes any difference. Sitting still is the trick matey. Take that from someone who is among deer every single day. Save your money spend it on bullets and practice your shooting, far more usefull. ATB John

A client shot it I just called it in. Shame I couldn't show it all as hit with a 6.5x55 it was a little graphic to say the least. I posted it not to show the kill, only the fox coming to the call, which is why the video was frozen just after the strike. Believe me it didn't suffer but it would need a parental guidence warning. When my fox avatar upset folks, the full film certinally would. ATB john

I am in east yorks not durham.

My first time with the shottie since the laser. Christian did his best on the camera while we killed 2 hours before the evening outing. 32 shots for 23 pigeons all flightlined and as you can see they were every direction, speed and height.
