So no one knows the legality? All sound suggestions/advice......... I will stick with my old air rifle for the accuracy and as I already have it over a pistol and will save/look for another air rifle to take over with. I am on about vermin actually trapped in doors but I thought it was illegal to shoot any live animal with an air pistol, a rifle is best and will be more useful it was the legality I was trying to establish

I have a cheap old air rifle, it isn't the most powerful air weapon in the world but has killed its fair share of small vermin. Question is I need an air weapon for shooting up close vermin and will be using my old air rifle. A colleague said an air pistol would suffice for up close vermin. Is it legal to use an air pistol for rats a few yards away and feral pigeons within the same distance? Can air pistols be used on live quarry? It may be cheaper/better to buy a decent air pistol than a second rate air rifle?

He was good indeed. You can see you ukip are having an impact when the tories and labour both start discussing immigration and the eu...... But neither would take us out of the eu and solve the problems caused by it. Interesting on that tv program this morning someone said other eu countries have the same problem........ Which in my opinion doesn't mean we should continue to put up and say others have it worse. I acually feel ukip may influence other eu countries to start looking at their own immigrant problems Mention was made of emigrants, I wonder if they are leaving due to the problems here? Also a lot of those who leave are retired and just spend their retirement money abroad which surely benefits the other countries

My dad had two big ponds he had some spare fish a while ago, all been rehomed now and he is down to just one massive pond now with huge koi and goldfish in, he didn't want to put the smaller fish from the littler of the two ponds in with the monsters...... Good luck in your quest

As has been said, I would have only ever put two in so would never have realised ..... I had a baikal mp153 with the 3.5 inch chamber, only ever loaded that 2+1 in hindsight should have seen if could have squeezed more in, but never really wanted to ..... Only have break barrel guns now

Why not just by a 9mm shotgun, they are relatively cheap

Thanks for explaining, I didn't read all that thread, I got bored....... Someone said we should be able to say what we want and consider this a chat amongst mates in a pub......difference is this is typed and can be easily quoted, with a chat in the pub no ones recording it and when we all sober up its mostly forgotten! Personally I value my freedom, both to say what I want and to have my guns....... Life as always is a balancing act. Say what you want within the law.....

I can be quiet a black and white kinda guy...... The rspca are anti..... They were integral in the hunting act and actively target working dog owners. As such I don't feel anyone who enjoys country sports should be assisting the rspca in anyway......

On that link I posted read the story about the person with the pet rabbits, she allowed the rspca in, she was cleaning her rabbits out. She put the rabbits in an empty cage whilst she sorted out the cage they lived in. The rspca person started taking pictures despite knowing the barren cage was only a temporary holding cage and then prosecuted the vulnerable lady for the rabbits not having, food, water and bedding! This is an interesting read for the rspca supporters here http://the-shg.org/selfhelp.htm There are lots of anecdotal stories of the rspca seriously over stepping the mark My opinion is that breaches of any law should be investigated by the police who are impartial, accountable and professional. Unfortunately the police are also underfunded and overworked and allow the rspca too much liberty and on a lot of scores treat them as a resource. I have had issues with the rspca when people had complained about dogs being kenneled and left outside.

Used motorola and kenwood radios when doing door work........ I actually liked the motorola ones, they can be lease hired fairly cheaply with a multi unit charger..... If there is a big nightclub near you ask the door staff who provides their radios....find a local rental place that way
