  1. That's it then......the countries plight is all down to the sinking of the Belgrano... simples. and I thought we were just trying to safeguard a little bit of England...how silly of me...
  2. Oh for 2 dozen or so Polish, Latvian, Serbian, Croatian, Bricklayers, Carpenters, & Labourers now. English Nationals need not apply too bloody greedy and lazy.
  3. Steak and Kidney Pudding followed by Jam Roly Poly....Proper English Food
  4. I am afraid in any society even communist society you are always going top have a wealth gap. Those that have and those that have not and as long as we have a Monarchy, ( Hopefully always ) we will have a class system. I suppose the key issue is electing a Government that will do their best for all of the electorate irrespective of wealth or social status. The Labour party have never been quasi- judicial and UKIPs underlying morals and values appear to me to be so far removed to the right of that equity its extremely concerning. Ultimately I will be voting Conservative because I happen to think they are doing a very good job in putting the jigsaw back together after the last Labour Government dropped it. The Lib Dems and the Greens and possibly UKIP could put the jigsaw back together but fundamentally the pieces would all be in the wrong position. Commerce in the rest of the world including Europe, Japan, Asia and China are sat back at the moment in admiration of the way we have picked ourselves up and shaken ourselves off and instigated our own recovery, There are major investors waiting on the outcome of this election believe me, several potentially multi million pound schemes for British Contractors in the NE of England alone. To return any party other than by a clear majority will be a disaster , but in that respect I think the Conservatives wouldn't hesitate in forming a minority government, ( for reasons I've given in another topic) with the blessing of the crown, given the situation requiring so. Your opening statement is quite correct...the alternatives are terrifying, but when it comes to the crunch I believe you, I and millions like us will realise that and vote accordingly. ( lights blue touch paper stands back and awaits tirade of ukippers vexation)
  5. Thanks for that that's very interesting...I have a meeting with my FA later this week and will ask him some pertinent questions.
  6. Hey wind your neck in... I assume your post was meant for KW not me.... I'm the Henry Fonda in 12 Angry Men....
  7. KW agreeing unequivocally with a former member of HM Police Force...this must be a pivotal moment in PW History.... I would be tempted to lock the thread down now and preserve it for immortality.
  8. Well with respect you and your fellow UKIP cronies started this as the basis of this topic. Did you not?. ......and you are wrong its "Look after number one", and "dog eat dog" in this country ( or man eat dog if your a Korean immigrant )....people will vote with their wallet always have and always will.
  9. oops obviously a sore point in your household...go on then give me three good reasons to vote for UKIP...
  10. Why risk your family and mortgage for the sake of a mere petulant protest vote... if you love them you wont do it... You know deep down your playing Russian roulette with their welfare. Have you discussed with your wife that you are putting their future in jeopardy. ? Vote Conservative you know it makes sense.
  11. Of course I have to get inebriated to dull the monotonous boredom of your incessant anti everything posts...
  12. Where have you been for the last 5 years
  13. On that we do agree...QED Im surprised a Fracophile would vote UKIP though and kick himself out of Europe... as suggested before... Turkey Voting for Christmas
  14. I didn't realise KW had published his auto biography......... is it on the shelves yet
  15. I find it fascinating that shooters worry about fibre or plastic wads...both generally non hazardous...when, if they shoot a particular area regularly throughout the course of the year could spread 25 -50 kg of lead on the ground. Not trying to be confrontational, just a bit perplexed. I did some contamination tests on a field purchased from a farmer for development about 5 years ago...he was 92 and he reckoned it had been regularly shot over as long as he can remember . The lead concentration in the soil samples were over 50 times higher than the contaminated land trigger level.. I wonder if that lead was being absorbed into the cereal crops and livestock and subsequently into us. The soil was classed as hazardous and we spent a fortune remediating the site. I would imagine more lead has been scattered far and wide on agricultural land than anglers ever lost in water. Food for thought ?
  16. Yep, I've bought shares in a Fracking company
  17. Personally I don't believe there will be another coalition irrespective of whether the conservatives gain more than half the constituencies or not.. They only need a overall majority to form a minority Government but obviously they would run the risk of not getting the commons vote when trying to pass legislation. In that respect they have no reason to alter current legislation, that which they have brought to statute is working, ( Whether other parties supporters accept it or not !) they wont need a referendum on Europe and probably wont need to present any Bills to the commons in order to maintain the status quo. Any such legislative Bills of any gravity rejected by the commons vote might result in another general election but I think that's a chance the Conservative party will take. I don't think the Monarchy would have a problem with a minority Government either after all it worked in Canada for over 80 years. I think DC has been advised of this. I don't believe, when it comes down to it voters will desert the Conservatives because for the vast majority the country, commerce, Industry, healthcare, unemployment, crime and fundamentally their own standard of living is significantly better now than it was 5 years ago. I cant imagine any sane person with a family and a mortgage would risk all that for the sake of voting for the "wrong brother" or a failed conservative alcoholic with fundamental underlying issues of racial intolerance.
  18. It may well come though with advances in mining technique eliminating the need labour intensity. There's still a lot of black gold in them there hills.
  19. Said I wasn't going to post on UKIP and true to my word I'm not...but the above statement is total unpatriotic ********...You are so anti establishment about everything in this country KW it amazes me you've lived here so long...you obviously have a big chimp on your shoulder.
  20. Caveat Emptor & Caveat Venditor apply in equal measure...as long as you are not breaking the law...no problem. However you must afford the purchaser the same rights as you would expect when you purchased the goods.
  21. As you get older you go Deaf so I shouldn't worry too much about it. Saying that I lived in a similar location for three years and could never get used to the traffic noise and I don't think you do to be honest...the others are fibbing If its quiet inside you will get use to that but as soon as you try and make recreational use of the garden .....you WILL notice it. Guaranteed. If you can put up with it and its a good price go for it. Just go into it with your eyes ears open !
  22. Get em in and keep em well watered when they sprout... will bloom in late August - September...I put a couple of hundred glads in yesterday.. As me old green fingered Dad used to say..."they've got two choices." You could always pot them and bring them inside..
  23. Could be any number of about a dozen or so birds.. What sort of length were the Bills and necks. Were the wings rounded, pointed or scythe shaped, were the legs trailing or tucked up.? Did they call or were they silent. "Too big to be eiders" suggests a duck of some sort. My best guess would be a pair of Shellduck
