  1. Agreed... That's sad..all round good guy...rare in the cut throat world of entertainment these days In some respects though, I'm sure being a comedian, he would appreciate a joke or two in celebration of his life.
  2. Your welcome.. I'm sure he will. I remember when I was that age longingly looking in Elphicks window in Cirencester at the RC models on display.... well out of the price range of me and my Father... Always wanted one...but then again there's lots of things I always wanted, now have and realise I didn't really want anyway...If that makes sense. The money will go to a very good cause.
  3. I think some people "do protest too much" when it comes to the actions of the RSPCA. Perhaps some of you barrack room lawyers can suggest a better alternative.
  4. Stay positive and don't worry. My wife and I have just been through six months of similar purgatory... The sudden onset of symptoms apparently is indicative of something less sinister. Let us know the outcome and remain stoical.
  5. They don't in fact need a warrant if they believe a pet or animal is suffering cruelty is in pain or in imminent danger... I don't know why all the vitriol towards the RSPCA in the main they do a brilliant job..only those who normally have something to hide are obstructive in my experience of working with them. All this rubbish about uniforms and impersonating a police officer is just misinformed rubbish as well ...the RSPCA was wearing uniforms before the first peeler walked the beat..in fact I believe the original police uniforms were based on the RSPCA uniforms of the day. I saw a 6 month old Staffy Collie cross last year... well at least the remains of it after it had had its throat ripped out, its mouth, tongue and jaw ripped apart and its testicles torn from its body. Cause of death was blood loss according to the vet, so it must have died in the most abject pain imaginable It had been tied to a stake and had its front legs tethered and used as a bait or warm up dog prior to an illegal dog fight. It was microchipped and the RSPCA reunited its remains with a distraught owner. If one call in ten is an inconvenience to a member of the public then that's a small price to pay to apprehend people who are treating animals in this way. The RSPCA isn't perfect admittedly but none of us are in a position to help that poor dog or bring these Neanderthals to justice. So just cut them a bit of slack...if a RSPCA official turns up at your property with a Police officer then they must have a good cause or are acting from information from the public.
  6. Very much depends which poll, where it was conducted and by whom.. Ukip is essentially Conservative but with more extreme nationalistic views.. If reports in many of the periodicals are to be believed many Ukip voters have realised its folly to vote for a minority party and risk the Labour party being returned, or worse still a Labour SNP alliance and so will be returning to the Tories just for this election... It appears they see it as the lesser of two evils. I believe when it come to the crunch and they are in the booth with that pencil on a string in their hands they will say to themselves..." do I XXXX it up for everyone with a vote for a minority party and risk another coalition or do I vote for the party whose ideals are closet to mine and return a majority. After all the country is doing pretty well at the moment, not everywhere admittedly but the majority of the population are happy with their lot currently.
  7. Going to NZ in 2017 to catch up with a very old friend who emigrated there years ago... He's made a fortune for himself in farming, is now retired , with just a small family and is funding the trip. How can I refuse. I'm marking the weeks off the calendar.
  8. Consider it done. Hope the Lucky recipient enjoys it... Many thanks.
  9. I have this Super cub which I bought about 5 years ago when the Local Antics store was having a clear out.. I paid about £100 quid for it... Its identical to the one in the photo and is complete with three NiCad battery packs ( not sure if they are sound ) but has no charger.. It has all the radio gear and is in original condition. The only thing I've ever done with it is remove the garish decals and started to paint some of the details... Its never going to be flown nor has it been, its just sat in the rafters of the garage gathering dust with other folly projects I've started but will never get to finish. I'm offering it to anyone on the forum free of charge but only for their young lad. ( or daughter if she's into models) All I ask is that you cover the postage charge which is likely to be about £12.00 if I can find a box big enough or collect it if your reasonably local. And a small donation at your discretion, to save the children, a charity very close to my heart. First come first served by PM and remember kids only please. ( Not big Kids )
  10. Funnily enough we had a sleety deposit here on the top of the escarpment about 1/2 hour ago and a bloody hard frost last night... I hope the local gardeners covered their spuds.
  11. Get him an airsoft or similar BB gun ...great for plinking in the garden.
  12. I do find that sad if I'm honest... No matter what I would always try and get to see Hammers at least 6 times a year... You don't no what pain is until you've been a spammer
  13. In that case why do you feel in necessary to doubt the word and integrity of a fellow sportsman and forum member just because he has radically different political views to you... That goes for your fellow supports too.
  14. Bahh Humbug.. Take it to SJP... Get there early enough you might even get a game...
  15. Any one watching it....haven't laughed so much for ages ...Peter Kaye ...genius.
  16. Get him to ring me...he needs some Conservative Cotswold Love...
  17. I don't believe you....I bet that one or two other kippers on here do though....... You sure it wasn't the green party looking to safeguard the local sheep population from sexploitation
  18. Top Bloke.... I agree with you... My Kids used to and still buy loads of stuff from them...I know quite a few young people through the Cricket, Rugby and Football clubs I'm involved with and they work for them all on ZH contracts and they love it...suits them very well. You can always find a Bargain or two ...however no one should be gullible enough to fall for the old sale reductions trick. That neighbour his he originally from the NE? Down here in the three valleys we give the balls back and the kids some sweets and money for an ice cream...with a smile. We all remember when we were kids.
  19. Ha ha...good bit of fabrication...cumon you will have to do better than that..... I did say I Believe it her name was Caroline Stephens...she was certainly handing out leaflets with her name on them.. Please PM me a copy of the email and I will contact the local UKIP office and get to the bottom of it... My reputation is on the line and I don't tell lies
  20. Anyone who has suffered the misery of supporting the Monkeyhangers this season deserves the right to dress up as anyone they want imo.. Cant see any harm in it...beaurocracy gone mad.
  21. Think outside the box... I live in the Cotswolds. Its a pretty big area. We have more than one constituency. I believe her name was Caroline Stephens
  22. Unlikely unless he's a cross dressing transvestite.... doubt very much if he or she would be a Ukip supporter if that were the case though.
