  1. Each to their own on this one, I think the point people were trying to make is that this can happen on guns with no lube but in this instance it would seem those that thought it was something more than lube guessed right.
  2. I was in the london gallery a few months back. Brand new EELL and the rib joint was so poor the guys words were "I guess enzo was ******" . Another had cheap wood to metal fit. A friend has sent two silver pigs back for pitting within 6 weeks. It seems beretta is going down hill :( Lube or not the gun should never get "really stiff" and perhaps tale a step back the only person in the know that has seen the gun returned it to GMK. I think there might have been more to it than just lube.
  3. is anyone else noticing more and more bad things about beretta quality control lately?
  4. Just got rid of one its in chris potters in kent. 687 sporting. 28"multi was a high grade model with nice wood and stock oval etc. Not sure what they have it up for in there but it was a 1997 model not a silver pigeon
  5. Two extended teagues chokes to fit beretta mobil system. Only selling as bought a new gun. Both chokes are 1/2 . £40 including postage pm for details
  6. Friend owns a country clothing shop, said stay away from them fur lined le cheameau's but both boots are on.a par. I have had two pairs of aigles and they have been perfect. Little tight on and off around the ankles. Know some one with a pair of leather lined le chameau boots. Well looked after and the boots were bought in 1989. Take from that what you will. Both boots are tough and well made. I think the key is to remember no matter how good the boot, if you dont take care you will eventually puncture or ruin them.
  7. Gutted :(needs been looking at them. Out of interest why'd you get rid?
  8. Im interested if your willing to split?
  9. Can you email me some pictures through pm? Thanks
  10. That should read thanks!

  11. Hi there interested in the slip can you tell me where your located and I realise this sounds daft but can you elaborate on the "soft letter" in terms of feel/ thickness. Trying to get an idea of weight and sturdiness. Tjsbkd

  12. In terms of burning out if you were firing without remission how to automatic rifles not burn out in the same way?
  13. So a faster lighter bullet burns out barrels? Why doesn't everyone use slow heavy ones then?
  14. Im absolutely naive about rifles but without wishing to hijack the thread, why does 243it burn the barrel out and why is a .270 or. 300 not mentioned as an in between calibre for 243-308? Or are these just not good calibres?
  15. There are 301'syou around who's owners claim to have put over 100kit shots through. I dare say they will be working long after we are gone
  16. Googled it looks like its a gun designed by victor arramberri apparently :s there was a thread on guntrader about it. Perrazi based gun?
  17. Can you put up photos of the proof marks on the barrels?
  18. But presumably the barrels wouldn't taper? Would they? I know some of the extra modern stuff does but I thought that this was basically just the tolerances they work to?
  19. On the same note, multi chokes..... my beretta is mobil chokes, as is my friends, however the barrel diameters are both 0.1mm different, therefore im thinking that if the chokes are all interchangeable and made separate then a half in mine may not be the equivalent in his?

    Musto tweed

Im after any musto tweed coats in the broken colour in either medium or large. Also interested in the matching cap. Pm if you or know anyone that has the above thanks
  21. Check the wood around the metal parts, look for hair line cracks/ any signs of repair. I check screw heads to see if there scratched or have been tightened. Just to give an idea of its use. Also the top lever, when closed if the lever is slightly off centre to the right thats a sign if a gun thats had little use etc. Check the firing pins for pitting, browning are prone to pitting the bottom pin. About $40 to get done I think. Good luck
  22. The game scene one is just a game version of it, my mk60 has mk60 stamped on the bottom but the one I had before didn't but had game scenes. That too was a 20g I paid 500 for it and had it 5years and still got 600it for it but it wasn't in great nick stock wise. Look on guntrader for an idea but id think its probably worth 700 for a newer year nit less for an older one. If its in good nick and for a friend I would think 600you or 650I was a fair price.
  23. I like the touches they've gone to that browning and beretra dont, solid top rib, anson fore end wooden butt plate, just normally see those on dearer guns
  24. Gents would you mind me asking what you paid for yours?
