  1. Thats what i was hoping to hear, thanks. Thankfully i'm past the age of worrying what people think, comfort & safety over image anyday.
  2. After years of struggling to get all my kit in my car ( 2013 E220 saloon ), ive decided to get something more practical, and ive been looking at the Volvo XC70. Im not looking for a dedicated off roader, just something with more room for kit, the ability to drive on rough paths and margins but still a decent amount of comfort. Has anyone owned one of these before? What are the pro's & cons, what i need to look out for?TIA
  3. Hi all, i need more room in the cabinet so the first one to go is this Gunmark Kestrel 12 bore ejector sbs. 30 inch barrels, full & three quarter choke &3 inch chambers. This is a great hide gun and has accounted for plenty of pigeons, rabbits, duck & geese too and has never let me down in any way. Its in good nick for its age with only a couple of dings on the stock & barrel and a tiny bit of blacking worn of near the rib as shown in the pics. Always been stored in a dry sleeve with snap caps in, barrels are fine too. £180 f2f only. This will be advertised elswhere too. Thanks
  4. Recieved yesterday, just as advertised. Thanks.
  5. This^^^^ I went to spain a few weeks ago and opened an account before I left. Also too a few quid in euros which I changed at M&S as they had the best rate
  6. Looking for the above please, if you have something just taking up space in the cabinet.

  8. Food poisoning from ice cream is quite common, Salmonella, Listeria, Camponella? ( not sure if thats the correct name.) iirc. Sorry its Campylobacter. Camponella's a plant aint it?
  9. Thanks to all for the info, just ordered these: https://www.radio-solutions.co.uk/motorola-walkie-talkie-h20-t92-twin-pack.html
  10. Does anyone here use walkie talkies when out shooting? I regularly shoot with a mate and we normally end up decoying in two different fields/parts of fields and often thought about getting a set. Can anyone let me have some info/advice on what to be looking for please. And any recommendations too. Ta.
  11. If you've paid cash they know they've got you on the back foot straight away. Dont go and knock on their door unless you're prepared to go a lot further. Fill in this form https://www.gov.uk/make-money-claim send them a screenshot before you make the claim ,informing them that you'll go ahead with the claim immediately if the money's not returned. I've done it a few times, along with a google street view pic of their front door and its always worked for me. I did also think of telling them id publish the claim form on every relevant forum i can but iv'e never needed to. Good luck.
  12. I think whatever was in the ground previously has been well ploughed in by now so ill just keep my eye on it for now. There's a few other fields of wheat/barley stubble that i can concentrate on in the meantime. There's also the chance of some Canada's flighting too so that should keep me busy. Thanks for all the info.
  13. On one of my perms, the farmer has been drilling oil seed rape over the last few days. and will continue until the weekend. I've never shot over newly drilled rape so don't know if pigeons will be on it as soon as the tips are pushing up through the soil (5/6 days)? Or do i wait til Jan /Feb?
  14. Hi all, in my opinion, once the ground gets even slightly bumpy/muddy, pulling is a lot easier than pushing. I bought one of these a few weeks ago and have only used it once but it seems to work perfectly well when i travel light but to be honest its a bit small for when i take a full kit of about 20 deeks in a bag, 2 camo nets ,hide poles, 2 bouncers, whirly & seat box. I have to carry my gun over my shoulder. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201672537818 Maybe i should have bought a bigger one in the first place.
  15. I have a boxed ,as new Artemis M16A for sale at £325 ATM as I'm trying to thin my collection out. Less than 50 pellets through it and as accurate& consistent as my Rapid.
  16. I spent ages researching this subject last year before investing in a pair of these. Fantastic boots. Warm, great ankle support, light & comfortable enough to spend a full day in. Well pleased i got them.
  17. July 2000 according to this: https://www.rapid7ownersclub.co.uk/forum/data-files/13160-theoben-seri
