I bought a new camera tripod for about 17 quid of Ebay and Primos yoke for a tenner. Use it with .22 air, .22 rimfire & .17 hmr when I'm on the rabbits and I want a low shooting positing behind a sniper/ camo net. Its so much better than using my Primos in a tight space. Lighter & smaller than my Primos sticks. Wouldn't be without it now.

Sorry, a bit of a mistake there. My 455 Varmint is in .22lr and my Marlin 917 Varmint is in .17hmr. ( its been a bit of a long day for me today and my brain is hurting). But the heavy barrels on both are very helpful to me, especially when shooting from my sticks/ small tripod.

I recently bought a 455 Varmint and the heavier barrel doesnt bother me at all ( i thought it may cause problems as this was my first serious foray into rimfire and ive always had a liking for the smaller more lightweight rifles) in fact i think it aids accuracy when shooting. And as has been said before, they are great fun to shoot. Congratulations on your first squizzer and hopefully many more to come.

Hi all, I'll be looking for a rotary kit in the next week or so but unfortunately know very little about the different models available. I want the lightest, most compact kit i can get with the best deeks ( i'm guessing that's what we all want). Is there one stand alone product that can fill these requirements or is it a better idea to cherry pick the best bits from different suppliers , if that's possible to do? Can you mix and match kit from 2/3 suppliers ? TIA.
