  1. That's not right, of course they can recover VAT that is attributable to taxable supplies - intra EU dispatches still give rise to the right to deduct input tax OP - send me a PM with a bit of detail as to what you are going to do with the roller and I will advise you I'm a Chartered Tax Adviser that specialises in VAT and actually lead the UK VAT business for one of the Big 4 accounting firms so I do actually know what I am talking about !
  2. One place remaining so I may be able to do you a deal......
  3. I appear to still have 2 pegs to fill on the above day. Plan is 200 birds(no overage and very generous host means more like 230 - 240 in reality) across 8 guns. It's £32 a bird so £800 each. A number of us from PW shot here last season on a 100 bird day (we finished on about 125 or so I think) and you can find a full write up on SABS great thread from last season documenting the days he shot (shoot is Burnt Norton) Let me know if interested. First come first served etc etc

    Beretta AL391

Yes ! Mine has 30 inch barrels - listed in private sales a few weeks back
  5. No idea- sorry Unless it can be worked out from the serial number ?
  6. Am in danger of having to part ex this against a 20 bore for Mrs SNS so as a hedge against that consider it reduced to £600
  7. This is my gun - I bought it 2nd hand and have fired less than 100 cartridges though it (obviously including all 3 and still missing the pigeon sometimes). I just could never seem to shoot well with it and so thought best to move it on and use the space in the cabinet for something else.
  8. Oxford Gun Co at the Game Fair...... And isn't a new stock as far as I can tell
  9. Indeed - they are closed tomorrow so Mrs SNS will be taking it there on Tues as I rather hope to be using it on Friday !
  10. Wow - many thanks for all this detail ! Next question- if I can't get the fore end back on, what on earth have I messed up ?!
  11. Thanks all - v interesting! Will see next week how I shoot with it.....
  12. Thanks - am not sure the pictures do it justice either
  13. Hello - am wondering whether any PW experts may be able to tell me anything about my new gun - least of all the choke size as I've mislaid the papers I got with it ! I've attached a few photos, also of the serial number as it seems some of you are able to unlock all sorts of provenance from that ? Many thanks in advance And another
  14. Cotswold dry gin. With pink grapefruit and a bay leaf Though am just back from Salcombe and had some Salcombe gin with a twist of orange peel and it was really really good

    Plum brandy

Looks like we have a glut of yellow plums but not so many 'normal' purple plums. Apparently yellow variety not as sweet and good for jam / chutney but has anyone ever used them in vodka ? I've got sufficient damsons for a dozen litres or so but don't want to waste another dozen bottles of vodka on these yellow plums if they are not going to be any good ?

    Plum brandy

Chaps, Mrs SNS is forecasting a glut of plums from our orchard this year so do any of you have a tried and tested recipe for plum brandy before I rely on Google ? I'm excited too by the number of damsons we seem to have as last year's damson vodka was amazing, albeit from a fairly small crop - this year's looks to be five times the size given my farmer neighbour has told me to help myself from the trees that border our place
  18. I've had lots of the gin (hic!) it's fabulous. Was slightly sceptical when I first had some in what was our local in the Corswolds (Ebrington Arms) when they said have it with a bay leaf and a slice of pink watermelon - I thought barman was taking the proverbial. But it worked. Think I'm into my 10th bottle since. Really really like it
  19. It's happened to me 3 times in about 10 years. Last one was £6.5k of damage Needless to say no one ever left their details
  20. Check your travel insurance policy would be my best suggestion
  21. It's the second time I've been fishing in about 15 years. So if I can catch that many it just shows how good a place it is (and Bob is a great coach obviously!!) Have a look at his website if you are interested - he writes up all the days he does like this / puts lots of photos on and I think sets out the pricing etc
