  1. Looking to buy one of these, but the chap in the gun shop said that it doesn't cycle subs very well. Can anybody who has one of the rifles confirm whether this is correct or not? Thanks.
  2. I believe that the guidelines state that if you shoot somebody in your house in self defence then you're unlikely to be prosecuted. If you shoot somebody in your garden who's stealing your stuff then potentially you're in big trouble.
  3. I wonder if the reason he was prosecuted was because the shots were fired outside on his land defending property as opposed to in his house defending life?
  4. Here's the link to help pay the £30,000 legal fees of 83-year-old farmer Kenneth Hugill. https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/supportkennethhugill
  5. If anybody has any old crow decoys they are not using then I'd be happy to buy them from you if you're nearish to Oxford. Thanks
  6. I've used an Ecofan for many years which starts spinning when the stove gets hot. It's lovely to watch but if you hold a pice of tissue in front of it you can see how little air it actually moves - certainly a lot less than moving about a room or opening a door. Get a ceiling fan if you need to distribute stove heat around a large room.
  7. What Islamic terrorists are really afraid of is women. What is it really all about? What is the true well-spring of this rage? We have all read that these crazed young men resent America for supporting Israel; that they believe the sufferings of the Iraqi people are excessive; that they hate their own corrupt regimes, especially in Saudi Arabia, and blame America for backing them. None of these geopolitical reasons, I am afraid, quite does the trick, for me. There must be some deeper offence to their pride. I think it is to do with their sense that they are representatives of a culture under siege. They fear that American morals and values will take them over, just as Coca-Cola and McDonald's have conquered the Earth. What is the biggest single difference between their culture and Western culture? That's easy: it's the treatment of women. This is a world where women are lashed for adultery; where little girls are denied education; where female teachers are sacked; and where women are kept from elementary health care. Mohammed Omar, the Taliban leader, says that mingling men and women is Western and decadent, and leads to licentiousness. To call these views medieval is an insult to the Middle Ages. And yet they are held, with varying intensity, across the Muslim world. Islamic fundamentalists look at America, and they see a world full of spookily powerful women, such as Hillary Clinton. So terrifying have been the advances of Western feminism that her ludicrous husband can almost be expelled from office for having a sexual liaison with an intern. The Muslim fanatics see denatured men, and abortion, and family breakdown, and jezebels who order men around. It tempts them and appals them and, finally, enrages them. Mohammed Omar says that "only ugly and filthy Western cultures allow women to be insulted and dishonoured as a toy". What he means is that only the West allows women to be treated as equals. Female emancipation has been the biggest social revolution since print. In trying to resist it, the Muslim fanatics are establishing themselves as doomed cultural Luddites. Let me say what the Left cannot say, since it chokes on the contradictions of its position, at once feminist, and yet relativist. It is time for concerted cultural imperialism. They are wrong about women. We are right. We can't have them blowing us up. The deluded fanatics must be helped to a more generous understanding of the world. Female education is the answer to the global population problem. It is also the ultimate answer to the problem of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism. 8. Forget savings accounts and ISAs, they're really not worth the effort as the returns are so low at the moment. Unless you're a gambler by nature or really know what you're doing then forget shares and precious metals as you might get your fingers burnt. Its easy to make way some household economies by switching to a no frills supermarket and just generally buying less tat, coffees and the latest gadgets etc. If you like a beer then take up homebrewing, once you've bought the basic kit then it's great value to make your own. I've saved £££'s over the years by doing this and honestly one of the finest feelings a man can have is walking out to his shed and finding a 40 pint barrel there.
  9. ...well you get used to it eventually
  10. Substitute onions for apples, they are far cheaper by the pound.
  11. Ignore all of this advice just pay more and buy an Apple computer. It will last last three times as long, won't get riddled with viruses and malware and should you decide to sell it in a couple of years will hold it's value like no Windows PC ever could. As a main computer I use a Mac Mini desktop machine which was made in 2006, absolutely no issues and handles all my music, documents and browsing needs. How many people on here use a Windows PC that old?
  12. No pastime which involves the casual use of a gun, most of the shooters I come across are right biffers!
  13. Now I realise why I've been missing so many clays. All this time I've been wasting my time thinking about consistent mount and keeping the gun moving after I take the shot when all I really needed was an Oakham fleece gilet at £129.95.

    Pokemon

I live near a big park and there are loads of people (as many adults as kids) walking around it just staring at their phones playing this game. They look like Pokemon zombies.
  15. I recommend Banbury Gunsmiths, I was very happy with the work and price charged for sorting out my ejectors. Every time I've been into Oxford Gun Co. I've been appalled by the terrible snooty attitude of each one of their staff members. They've always managed to make me feel like an idiot - which I'm not, a #%^* maybe, but definitely not an idiot. I refuse to go there any more, even though it's my local shop.
  16. https://youtu.be/uDtXpR74rs8 If like me you love a good conspiracy theory then check out Keith Allen's documentary about the death of Princes Dianna 'Unlawful Killing'. The premise is that her death was orchestrated by evil Nazi simpathiser Prince Phillip and carried out by the SAS. An entertaining documentary, no idea how much (if any) is true but very thought provoking none the less. The full film has been almost totally erased from the internet, which is no mean feat and adds to the excitement and intrigue. You can still find it though with a bit of searching, although you might have to log into a proxy server of download it via a dodgy torrent site. Highly recommended.
  17. It's a well known fact that the moon landings were faked and filmed on the James Bond Moonraker set.
  18. After you've seen everything you want to see then remember it's really easy to get to New York for an overnight stay from Boston, the journey is less than three hours by train.
  19. Top of the Hub restaurant and bar is worth checking out. Great views of the city as you're up on the 82nd floor.
  20. Why don't you ask your GP if you can have more than one inhaler on the same prescription? My GP is happy to put three of the same inhalers on one prescription, that way I only pay one lot of fees.
  21. "Beat me on the bottom with the Woman’s Weekly Let’s do it, let’s do it tonight!”
  22. Tannerite is sold specifically for the purpose of shooting at and making a big explosion, unlike gas canisters, petrol, fertiliser etc. It gives people permission to **** about and make explosions, unlike the other substances mentioned which all advise you to use them with extreme caution and only for the purpose intended. If you play with fire then you're likely to get burned (or blown up).
  23. We've all mucked about with crow-bangers when young I'm sure. If this stuff had been available to us then I'm sure we'd have mucked about with this too, although the man in the video looks old enough to know better so it serves him right, I bet it's taught him a lesson.
  24. Just buy a squirrel-proof bird feeder. Since I got one in my garden the squirrels haven't been able to raid the bird food, the design of these things also makes it difficult for a pigeon to feed from them too.
