  1. So Scottish power turn up and advise me some of my trees need trimming which they will do for free around the power lines, fair enough. Would I like a mate to come around and do the other 100 metres or so for 600 all in. Nope. Just got the council guy who was passing with the flail to do the lot for 40 quid and a cuppa. Job sorted. Does anyone know can they be crowned any time of year or should I wait for the spring?
  2. My wife also has the pump as injections were not controlling it. gone from 5 a&e visits a year to none in 5 years.the next gen pumps from America look amazimy as well. Shame our hospital only has funds to fit 10/ year. Got to say I hear a lot of nhs bashing in my trade but without them my wife would most definitely be dead. Glad we were born in this country. Best wishes to you and your family for all the hard work ahead, ask your gp what support systems are in place re diet advice etc, they are well worth attending.
  3. We get loads of them and puffballs round here. Quite acidic soil, but no chanterelles and even bollettes are rare. Loads of non edibles,.but yours was a mint Incap with no blemish. Do you have acid soil and if so any other good finds?

    rabbits

Normally we get our hands on them once the're shot. Try a pet shop. Maybe release some budgies and parrots too, make a mooch a bit more interesting.
  5. I just refuse to decorate point blank. I'd rather be out with the dog and as a result the wife does it or it doesn't get done. I don't care what it looks like but she spends 2 days prepping a wall before its painted and does a fab job. I'd smear it on with a mop, get it over with asap and then get out. Top girl.
  6. It was a second hand gun so should have many rounds through it already. For 75 were not far off another second hand gun price, I'll try the 25 quid kit and see. It will give me something to do on these dark wet nights as well. I'm used to light triggers as I match shoot so consider myself pretty competent, but the original figures were not with a bipod, just prone.
  7. Just put an order in, 3 weeks.
  8. Auto text error in title, wanting it pimped not pomped
  9. Have been using this for a couple of trips and just cleaned and centred to 50 yards. Was a bit miffed at the trigger pull taking me off zero and thought I'd like a 2 stage trigger like my Annie 1918. So if I can, what is a good trigger replacement kit and is it a job for me or a pro? If I do this lets get dreamy and go what is the best stock replacement thumbhole kit and can a bipod fit easy enough? Or is it worth a part ex on a model like this pre-pimped and where can I get it? On another note this was hitting a 2 inch square at 50 yards with Winchester 40 gram hollow points, that seems lame by my usual target rifle standard,is it likely me or is that a fair group for this model? Thanks.
  10. Not sure but ' after accident and damaging my arm' Maybe your gun mount or swing has slightly changed? If so Just keep at it until you have adjusted for the change.
  11. ...Wiggins and all his Lycra wearing mates were there in our way and what seemed like millions of people were stood about in the pouring rain the see the ride past...can't see the attraction myself. MAMILs Middle aged men in lycra. Not attractive.

    What phone

Had an iPhone, now have Sony experiaz.much better screen and overall spec.
  13. Lands guns at the fair had the synthetic stock 1100 for 699. They said they bought 50 to sell so got a discount! I tried shouldering one but found I couldn't reach the trigger well, they said not to change the stock length or my face would be too forward on the stock. Result- gun left in rack.
  14. I'd love to help . Right then, to begin with- What is it?
  15. I always wondered when Chernobyl went up and radiation dust fell all over Scotland and Wales so we got told the sheep weren't edible and some fields were no good for grazing, why doesn't it filter though to the water table? What would a Geiger counter do near a bottle of highland spring? How far will the Japan incident affect?
  16. I shoot rifles one eye shut, some keep both open. Shoot clays both eyes open,if dominant eye is on the wrong side some smear Vaseline on glasses etc Rochelle use correct eye.
  17. We retake the pair with the good bird score established. Ie retake first established as miss or hit. If it was a simultaneous pair then retake pair no previous score established.
  18. Out on the clays this morning, met up with some mates and arranged a shoot on array I don't normally get out. Half way round I got a text asking to go out lamping this week on a golf course I haven't done before. I shot 41/50 which is my best yet and got home Mrs told me a pigeon is in the garden with a broken wing after it flew into the window, could I deal with it. Pigeon breast for tea then. Am now buying a lottery ticket while my lucks in. Top day.
  19. Hello. Good clay ground at Caerwys/trelogan Might see you there,a few on this forum go there.
  20. Just saw the fieldsports video for these, look great. Anyone tried them? Do they cycle ok, do they drop off much sooner, and how far are they accurate to?
  21. Use it for rough shooting if it will stay 15 meters or so, but if it just keeps going...............your screwed.
  22. I have a dog guard that fits onto the back of the headrest uprights.works for all makes and is spot on. They had them in halfords for 80 quid so I got it off flea gay for 40.
  23. Many thanks for the replies. The induction program looks brilliant but as luck would have it I helped look over a dog for someone and he has offered to take me out over Frodsham marshes. It may be I go that way purely by chance, might be easier on a newbie than those quick tides too. Atb Footu
  24. Am thinking of trying out wildfowling, both clubs close enough so does anyone shoot either and what are main differences in terms of tide flow, scenery, likely quarry and bag limits. Any info much appreciated. Footu,
  25. Alternate choice is a pretamper airarms tDr,they can be screwed up to 40 lbs I believe. I have one but keep it at 11.8, they are good for around 50 shots per fill before pressure drops off.
