  1. I can second the above. I have used a set for many years with no problems.
  2. We do intend getting quotes from local mini cab firms. The airport is 60 miles from my home, so 240 total. I realise it will be 4 journeys for the taxi firm. I'm totally against handing my keys over and would rather pay the extra £40 to able to keep them. Mt step daughter has offered to take us to the airport and bring us back, but we don't arrive back until 02:45 the earliest. She works everyday and we feel it would be too much for her.
  3. UPDATE: I've just had a reply from Whitegates, and they said that the times that I wanted to book an overnight stay (9pm) and return from the airport (02.30) are not available!
  4. Further to my question about parking at Bristol Airport (£164 for two weeks, keeping my keys) there's a company called Whitegates Bed & Breakfast who charge £75 for 15 days and also offer B&B for £50 (room only) or continental brealfast @ £9 pp. Keys have to left with them and they take you/bring you back ftom the airport. Has anyone used this company?
  5. In the past, I always planted seed potato's in heavy duty black bags. As the potato's grew, I added more compost. When they were ready to remove, I just cut the bags open down the sides.
  6. You are welcome, and thanks for the recommendation.🙂👍
  7. It was a bit on the thin side, which didn't surprise me, but it's coat looked okay.
  8. I saw this beauty a few times during the past few weeks. It was walking/sniffing around a barren bit of beach in Hurghada Egypt. It looked in good health considering there was very little for it to feed on. At one point, it came within 8 ft of me.

    NHS

I am not knocking the NHS as I've seen it from both sides, but I have just had a telephone call from my local hospital about a referral regarding my hernia. I explained that I had to pay privately (£3610:00) almost two years ago as I couldn't wait to have it done on the NHS. I was then asked 'do you still want to be referred or taking off their list'!
  10. I have bottled a few of the above which are now ready for sale, but I have reluctantly had to increase the price to £14:00 per bottle, an increase of 50p, due to the increased prices of the bottles, packaging and now, an increase of postage (2nd class/signed for) The lure is still good value for money and a little goes a long way. It's excellent and is a very good attractant.
  11. I've got the 600 yard one ( LRF 600 Professional) and it's excellent.👍
  12. Speaking to a German lady today while I'm on holiday, and I mentioned that from tomorrow I will receive state pension of £815:40 a month. She was shocked and said that she receives €2000 per month!!!!
  13. Of course he will, and the Pope will become a Rastafarian!
  14. That's the only thing I don't like doing. I did this once with a Pulsar NV but the zero was lost between rifles. I use a Vulpine Mk3 with excellent results, but I just 'fancied' the Alpex. Perhaps I'll buy one and keep it for one rifle only, either my .22 Hornet or .243.
  15. There's a video tutorial on Youtube, by Optics Warehouse.
  16. Thanks for that. The scope's that I have on the rifles at the moment are worth far more (combined) than the Alpex price tag. I have got a Vulpine Mk3 NV add on which I have used on the rifles mentioned and is excellent. I would also sell this should I purchase the Alpex.
  17. Has anyone use the above scope on different rifle's, or knows someone who has, and the zeroing stays the same? I'm thinking of getting one to go on my .22LR, .22 Hornet and .204 Ruger.
  18. I've managed to make another 5 x 1 ltr bottles of the above. This is a very effective attractant and has a great success rate. Price is £13:50 each and includes Royal Mail 2nd class/signed for postage to any UK mainland. Payment by bank transfer please.
  19. You can request your full medical records from your GP and they have to supply them to you within one month of your request. As mentioned, you can also contact MEDCERT who will do this for you. I went through BASC, and after requesting my records, I sent them to a GP on their list. He then sent the Pro Forma to the police and I paid him £25:00 although he originally stated £50:00
  20. Any dry/wet dog/cat food but not fish flavoured.
  21. As above. Low mounts should be okay, medium at a push. Will you be fitting scope covers as these will add a few mm.
  22. Following on to the thread a few months ago, I personally would not use a .22LR unless using HV ammunition, but then you have to noise to contend with. On one of my permissions, I dealt with many Canada's using my .22 Hornet(noise wasn't an issue) at 60 -80 yards. Some were head shot but the majority were chest shot.
