  1. Its not the size of the bag, its the enjoyment you get out in the field. I have had varying size bags but still enjoy 'the great outdoors'. Good luck in the future.
  2. I had an escort for about 9 months. I used it for crow/pigeon shooting and also fox (using 3"mag) I found no faults as t all with it. I sold it to a mate a few months ago, big mistake. I am going to replace it soon though.
  3. I put crow decoys to one side of the pigeons. I also put a couple of magpie decoys out to the edges as well. This also gives the pigeons extra confidence.
  4. I have been loading my own for a few years now, - 22-250 + 243. I personally would not be able to tell the difference between 2 rounds with +/- .01 grain between them. A chronograph would more than likely register the difference.
  5. Nice Shooting It's also nice to hear the 'slap' of bullet hitting home! Well done.
  6. I'm going too Taking the Mrs with me as well Steve B
  7. Back in1985 I applied for a firearm certificate and posted it on a Thursday. Monday morning my cabinet was inspected and on the Wednesday morning my licence arrived in the post. Not including the weekend, that was 3 days. This was done by South Wales Constabulary and I have had many dealings with them over the years, ie. 1 for 1 variations within 10 days. I have to say that in my opinion they are great when it comes to doing their job. Why can't other forces act in the same way?
  8. What about Remington Large Rifle 9 1/2 primers? I am using these at the moment. Steve B
  9. Nice bit of shooting that. Well Done

    car mot

I took my car for an MOT test. When I was told it failed, I asked for a second opinion. Okay, he said, you are an ugly sod as well!
  13. Welcome aboard dave. I joined recently and it's a great site. I reload as well - 22-250 + 243. regards, STEVE
  14. Hi Jacob, Don't know much about the Rifle because I am a centrefire/shotgun shooter myself, but there is only one bipod that's the best in my opinion and that's the Harris. You can get them in different lengths and although they may not be the cheapest on the market they are brilliant. I have them fitted on all my rifles. regards, Steve B
  15. What would you take for the Spotting Scope? steve.
  16. Thanks for the info'. I actually bought one the 1st time they were on sale. I tried it out in work one night, viewing woodland around 50 yards. Not bad, although there was not much illumination of the IR. I have just purchased a IR sheet which, I have been told, will convert an 'ordinary' lamp into a IR. I might buy another night vision form Lidl and try it out with the lamp/IR sheet. I took the 1st one back and told them it was no good. they refunded my money because of their sales policy. regards, STEVE

  19. Don't try and make one. The best on the market so far is the Promos Power Call, retailing at about £9.00 I have one and on two seperate outings, using crow decoys as well, I shot two bags of 58 / 128. Steve.
  20. Hi and welcome. Its a nice part of the world that you come from. Gonna go there one day to hunt. regards Steve ( Wales U.K.)
