  1. The Tories have tried to buy votes throwing money at pensions. They have tried to buy votes throwing money at tax reduction. They have totaly mismanaged the economy with the Truss budget that we are still paying for with higher govt interest rates. We have never had such a large tax burden as now. We have never had a situation where every service was close to or had collapsed. Something has to change. I don't know if Starmer will achieve that but carrying on doing the tory thing was clearly not going to work. There is nothing in Starmers plan that has money being thrown anywhere. Many of us would like to see him being more ambitious with the cash. It would take a lot of work to differentiate left of centre with right of centre govt.
  2. How do you make the job more attractive? That would be funding then. No one wants the job because of the stress, the hours, the training, and the lack of reward. ? Ask @Lloyd90 No food, no heating no shelter. Have you seen that project trying to provide beds for kids? That's poverty.
  3. If i remember right the summer of riots (maybe 2011 i cant remember) it started somewhere and then spread to other areas. Followed by lots of enquiry stuff and then some payments were awarded as appeasement for youth facilities and flower beds. For me two things drive this, youth dissatisfaction and youth aspiration for more. When we were kids we had nowt and would not know what a riot was, let alone have one. We had no aspiration for any other life because we were not aware of anything different. Everyone was in the same boat. Now there is a very visible divide between those that have and those that don't.
  4. This ^^^^^ although I wonder if the children going into care is simply an excuse or trigger. We had a summer of riots some years ago and none of them seemed to have any logic or reasoning behind them. If you have a group of disaffected bored youth a riot makes an exciting and different way to spend your evening. ?

    Farage

The language used by Farage does nothing but inflame racial conflict. If you are in a position of influence it is incumbent on you to think before opening mouth. It's very easy to be against anything what we want is ideas for a solution to issues. The bloke is simply negative. What does he propose?
  6. I was last in leeds in 2005. I worked for years in Birmingham. I put together the Ahmadiyya Muslim Assoc Mosque in Bordersley, East End Foods for Tony Deep in Aston and Wing Yip Supermarket in Nechells. If you know Birmingham you will know that the most dangerous places were certainly not Asian but Irish in Digbeth.
  7. Missed this bit 😁. Yep been there. Sent home from the Uni in 1982 and later an old kayaking mate of mine ran Adventure x from there. Its was a good night out.
  8. Are you part of a group doing this? I see there are a number of charities. Penrith and district and Westmorland.
  9. 🀣 it would be true. Negative grouping by race is a slur. It the general assumption and therefore negative association by race or origin that is the issue. Why is one Muslim a scrote and another a model citizen? You would not say Muslims are scrotes or suggest that rioters are typically Muslim or from the sub continent. I guess because it was a riot in part of Leeds (fact). It was not an Asian riot or a Muslim riot. There may well have been Asians involved or Muslims involved but they were not rioting because that's what Asians and Muslims do. Anyways enough for me.
  10. Glad its all working and i hope rifle is immaculate πŸ‘ Respect to Azora and crew. We are back home with a broken dog. πŸ€‘ but getting there.
  11. Wow amazing. Never seen one. I hope they are thriving up by you.
  12. Politics of the subcontinent. ? The inbred hatred for our values - including our religion is coming from people who are far less tolerant and divisive than we were brought up to be. ? The far right is not a racial slur. 'White christians' would be.
  13. Are you suggesting that those rioters have just arrived in the UK? Are you suggesting that as people of Asian origin (no idea) they are more likely to riot or that they are rioting because they are of Asian decent? What? Are yo suggesting that those of Asian origin will have an inbuilt hatred of our values? What religion are we, the last i heard we are largely agnostic or Jedi. ? Less tolerant? What nonsense. @Rewulf I don't doubt the grooming gangs were whatever percentage from Pakistani origin. They were a grooming gang. We would say that Saville and Glitter were pedo's. We would not say they were English, christian pedos and expect the same from other English Christians.
  14. As Rewulf says if it was a riot by a load of white blokes with short hair we would be talking about a riot and the low life scrotes associated with it. Why is there a need to mention race when we are talking about scrotes? Surely more a reflection of poverty, education and being disenfranchised. It could equally happen somewhere else tomorrow with another group of people facing the same disenfranchised issues. Why has it got anything to do with race? Hoping Scrotes is not some racial group 🀣
  15. Why does a riot in Leeds have anything to do with Race? We have seen lots of riots by lots of different racial groups to know that riots have nothing to do with a particular racial group. To see a riot and immediately jump to racial assertions and try to suggest this disturbance is in some way reflective of a racial group is racist. Now we have references to ISIS and Taliban and wokeism. Surprised we have not mentioned communists, far left, anti whatever it is. It is simply a riot in Leeds. The message it sends is there are many that are quick to want to try and stir up racial hatred rather than tackle a problem that occurred. They are by their words demonstrating the evolutionary lag that they accuse others of having.
  16. Comment by all means. πŸ‘it's stiring up hatred with comments of subcontinent we don't need. We have all seen riots in the UK that cut across all racial groups. We know from experience here that this is across community. Putting a label on some is an excuse to inflame the situation and stir up hatred.
  17. Typical Farage comment to try and stir up hatred. Have we not learnt anything?
  18. With you on that. When the mob takes over rational thought goes out the window. These situations need to be overwhelmed by police at the earliest but I can't see that happening.
  19. Do we even have water cannon? I recall Boris buying a couple for London and they were sold at a loss 12 months later? These disorder events usually coincide with warm weather. I am with Gordon on this ID the ring leaders and pick them up. No prisons to put them in or courts to process them.
  20. It's all about attitude. 😁 The last decent govt for the economy was Blair. Cameron was OK but let it go to pot with Brexit undoing his good start. How long for thus lot? Even the pigeons are enjoying the honeymoon period.
  21. It's unreal what a mess has been left for the govt to clear up. It could hardly be any worse. Looking back at the tories and I can't think of anything they left for the better. Not 100% convinced the initial plan is enough but good vibes from security meeting. It can only be good to have a good relationship with important neighbours.

    Blair 2.0

It will be the key to eternal life and moving off this planet as machine becomes man. 😁
