It will be a test in November with the orange Jesus to see if you can run a party on only hate.

They won't be in govt over a single marginal issue. Farage is toxic to a majority and would need to go. Reform also needs a reason to be, a usp.

Why does this TRAGIC event require an "Investigation"?

Is that right? That's an horrific statistic. It's not so long ago that the dangerous animals act was introduced to stop people keeping Lions and the like as pets. -
That's interesting. A normal sail boat (there are not so many) with a lifting keel would put the keel down in rough weather at anchor. If the keel is drawing 10m then the boat would likely be well off shore. We would normally anchor in 4m of water in UK and 3m in the med. Boats with swing keels are susceptible to wear on the keel hinge. When they are down they can knock in the box, unpleasant if you want to sleep. We would not put our engine on at anchor in a storm. If we were not lying to weather we would deploy a line to the anchor chain to turn the boat or put the rudder over. Maybe running the engines is something for large boats.

My money would be on a design failure. I appreciate that this is a custom design and build but the construction quality of yachts seems to be mostly still in the dark ages. Pretty much any car you buy today is fit for purpose. Boat design and building has not made the same leaps forward. Sure there are great advances in the layup of materials and the strength of hulls etc but the rest seems to be pretty much made up on the hoof. The boat designers seem to be more concerned with aesthetics than operation and maintenance

I would compare mine to the tender to Bayesian. 😁 10m keel extended and 4m raised. 10m is a hell of a depth and would not allow the boat close to shore in many places. 4m would be a huge weight to lift. The keel of a boat is connected to the mast tied together with the supporting shrouds to form a single supported structure. Speculation of course but somewhere there will be a design fault.

Is this true? What does the 'aid' get spent on? I read a jv with the Premier League?

It will be fascinating to hear the findings of the investigation. With the keel up and the mast off broken to one side you wonder about the point of positive stability.

This ^^^^ looks most likely reducing the draft from 10m to 4m. Unless of course the hit men organised waterspouts?
-
I guess if it's still showing full production at peak sun then it is down to the poor weather. A 10% shading on my pv will show a 50% reduction in output.

Looks like they have to be handed in. What a joke.

Looks like a cracking trip 👍

Renewable energy is cheaper now than gas was before the rise in prices. Whole life energy costs are also far cheaper than any other form of generation. This may help you understand the situation better. https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/why-is-cheap-renewable-electricity-so-expensive/#:~:text=Electricity is increasingly generated from,of electricity from various sources. I use only green tarrifs and rather than have an energy bill for next year, expect to be paid around £800 by Octopus.
-
Unfortunately you are confused. The price you pay is related to the value of the product (wholesale market price, what energy can be sold to the market for) not the cost of production. The wholesale price of green is pushed by the price of fossil (particularly with the Russian supply side issue). The situation exacerbated by our dependence on gas. If we only had fossil fuels your bills would be far higher. The more green the lower the cost will become green energy wind and solar is the cheapest energy out there. Wind will get even cheaper now the Tories are out, as they blocked cheaper energy production. Many consumers not only do not pay for energy but get paid to balance the grid.
-
It's already providing more than 40% of UK energy. If all new houses have solar or a battery it will half energy bills. If you have the cash, now you can have free energy now and get a return of 12% on your investment.
-
It has already made a huge difference. There is for some cull areas a rise in TB immediately following the cull, as a result of target redistribution and cattle entering ground previously occupied. Following that the numbers of infections has fallen dramatically. There is somewhere a research paper which sets this out. I have met a number that thought it would make no difference and refused to contribute. Still happy that their land be added to the zoning map to reach threshold requirements.
-
Green energy is already cheaper, it's a lot cleaner, and its abundant we just have to harness it. As individuals move towards self generation and storage and decarbonize the grid, we will create a distributed energy model. This will significantly reduce the energy bill, and significantly increasing the availability of energy for all.
-
We don't need the pollution. We have free wind all around relatively pollution free, we have shed loads (😁) of solar and wave energy.
-
Now you don't see many here, anywhere. 🤣

Apparently; Infected deer can spread TB to cattle through nose-to-nose contact or by inhaling aerosol droplets that an infected animal has exhaled. I have never seen a deer this close to cattle. I had a farmer that would go mad seeing a deer in his field and wanted it gone straight away. I tried to explain about them moving around 🤣
-
It was the suggestion that it was compulsory. I understood it was not only voluntary but that farmers were required to pay (make a contribution).

What a great day out 👍
