  1. The other day I shot a Stegosaurus at 1000 yards with a Webley Tempest .22 air pistol. This was of course back in the day when myself and my fellow rebels planned and executed the attack on the Death Star. Contrary to popular belief the destruction of the death star was achieved with a tuned Weihrauch HW80. True Story
  2. Hi Krowe79, Check out http://inteliscopes.com/ it allows you to use your phone as a scope and record footage. You can download the app free for android of Iphone "intelliscope". I belive gunshop rugby were bringing the mounts in. Ed
  3. Doesn't help you hit anything though.............
  4. I fint this topic quite interesting, I find we Brits are just too tolerant of this kind of thing. It is my view that we should NOT have to pay extra for the police to get medical information. It would be open to abuse as well. They may ask you to pay for it then not even request the information for all we know (and pocket the money). We must not agree with it, allowing them to do this with no reistance is dangerous, it will be a standard process on all applications and maybe renewals before we know it and then the doctors will increase the price due to the increase in requests coming through the post etc etc doom and gloom etc Just my opinion!

    What laptop

I got a laptop in order to edit footage from my Go Pro 2 and I was using the software that Go Pro supply. The laptop was £300 worth of Toshiba and brand new so running at full speed. The whole process was so slow, far too time consuming. I tried on a friends Mac and that was a different beast. ATB Ed

    What laptop

I have tried editing on a few budget computers and they really do struggle to the point that I gave up. You have to spend more on a laptop for the task of editing im afraid! Ed
  7. I have been really enjoying my tuned HW98, I dont think I will ever sell it. It just gets better and better the more pellets I put through it! Ed
  8. I have a Diamondback 4-12x40 AO† with Dead-Hold BDC Reticle which I got from Riflecraft and I rate it very highly. There is a good range to pick from so is worth having a good butchers. ATB Ed
  9. Nice to see something different. Sounds like an interesting project and I look forward to hearing more! Nice one Ed
  10. From what I uderstand, the idea is that you can have a mount on each of your rifles and switch the bipod beween them easily. Not exacly hard to swap a harris over but whatever helps you justify the expense..............
  11. Their prices are fine, but when actually having to make a claim.................NO NO NO NO NO. I hate them.
  12. I enjoy reading EVO magazine as this features all the serious tests on the cars. I then like to watch Top Gear as this usually features the mainstream super cars and I get to see them in action. Plus they are a bunch of muppets having a laugh. Love it. Works for me! Ed
  13. I do agree they are pricey, I really don’t spend much on shooting clothing as I stick with army surplus clothing as I feel it does the job. The reason I am happy to spend the money on Macwets is that I looked for gloves that fit like they do for years. I can even load my break barrel airgun while wearing them with no problems. Anyway, if you are going to the British shooting show then I am sure you can try a pair on at their stand, Bob will sort you out. Ed
  14. I find exercise helps a lot. I good session of circuit training will knock me out a treat! Ed
  15. I HIGHLY recommend some MacWet gloves, they are brilliant, skin tight fit so you don’t get material caught while reloading a pump action or semi auto.
  16. Yeah I found that when cycling the action at extreme angles jams can occur in my mossy 590 and that is with 70mm cartridges. Don't really care as I am usually grinning like a moron while using the pump action Ed
  17. I seem to remember having a go with both of those just the other day.................... Can't wait to try the Maxus once the adjustments have been made! Ed
  18. Hey all, I am a bit of a fitness freak myself and after years of training I can highly recommend either the five star boot camps or Crossfit (check you nearest town online to see if they have one). I do Crossfit myself and have seen pretty ridiculous results from people trying to lose weight. Training within a community of people all trying to do the same thing is far more effective than trying to go on your own to a normal gym. Good luck to you all and happy new year! Ed
  19. I look at pump actions the same way as manual and automatic cars, when shooting a pump action you get more interaction with the gun and therefore its more fun!! Ed
  20. It will appear in the Feb issue of GunMart (on sale mid Jan)
  21. Phil Ogden: 0161 6202 190 I have just done a review on his Cambridge range (shotgun slip and cartridge bag). They are top quality items priced around £80. Well worth a ring. Ed
  22. Unfortunately they are just not accurate enough.
  23. Hi Johnny, I’ve had a go with the 12g and done a review on the .410 hushpower. Regarding the noise, I’m afraid everyone’s perception of volume varies. The subsonics do make a noticeable difference and work best when you really are trying to keep noise to a minimum. Saying that though if you are shooting at pigeons (rough shooting or from a hide) normal cartridges work just fine and the guns report is reduced to good effect scaring less of them away. I move from one small wood to another on my perm and it helps me a lot. Every little helps. I have even shot a rabbit one side of a hedge then crossed over to the other and shot another one! P.S It is important to have a go on a pattern plate as your point of aim is very different!! Ed
  24. Nice short barrel on mine with cylinder choke and I do fine on all the stands including the high tower. Its effective enough to have fun at a clay ground but if I was competing against a mate for bragging rights I would take the Beretta! Ed
