Hi All Im in the process of putting in a variation for a .223 rifle, the question I have for you all is what would people recommend for amount of ammunition to buy/hold? I was thinking buy 100, keep 150? Does this sound reasonable? I will not be reloading so dont think I need large amounts. Any advice greatfully recieved. Thanks in advance Nick

Hi Mate Yes that is a barrel weight, It's the same as on my old Supersport Carbine, it shouldnt move round though, is there a grub screw on it? Cant remember if there is just give it a tighten. There will be a plastic cap on the end of the barrel weight (well there was on mine!) unscrew this and as mentioned above it is threaded for a silencer - BSA and a few other companies make them and they are are cheap as chips! Dont expect miracles though as it is a springer so you wont notice much difference at your end. Hope this helps...

Eley subs all the way, my CZ452 is on a strict Eley only diet and cant get enough of them, tried every other round I could get hold of and Eley Subs were definitely the best performer

The New Col U ground is looking a damn sight better than the old one and I can walk there in 5 min  Just a shame were going down so no decent clubs will play there!!! The Tattoo's were great I remember going to the last couple must have been in the early 80's

Just my 2 pence worth, the posters that say that the police would be using 9mm are right they do in the MP5 and Glock but they do use 5.56/.223 in the HK G36 which a lot of forces are now using.....

Sarah/Slug Thats a good idea, thanks for that, it makes sense to me! Im pretty sure I know where the the catch meets the door so I could drill there... Thanks everyone for some great ideas, to try and make it a bit clearer hopefully you should see a diagram below: (it's an up &over type door - it doesn't use weights/springs:

Thats sounds like a plan, cheers alex

Hmm might try the spade or the roof idea! Alex - The handle turns and the lock seems to work ok, im 99% sure it's something to do with with cable/catch on the right as when I turn the handle the left catch disengages but the right doesnt.... I can open it a tiny bit on the left bu not enough to get anyone inside

I think it's made by Cardale... Light see what they say.. Dont want to have to take an angle grinder to it or give it a tug with the defender it's only 2 years old!!!
-
No there is no other door/window I looked at trying to get a screw driver down the side the try and flick the catch out but the are reinforcing plates on the outside where the latches are - to stop people breaking in I reckon!! Im stuck

Hi All I know this is a long shot but I thought I would give it a try! My garage door will not open and now all my shooting gear is stuck in the garage The garage door works by two cables running left and right from the lock so when you twist the hadle the cables pull a catch out from the frame on each side, it feels like the right hand cable has broken/wont work?? Has anyone ever had a similar problem/know how to fix?? It would be easy from the inside but I cant get in!!! Thanks in advance! Nick

This may be a stupid question and in the wrong section.... I have been looking at buying a cheapish Landrover Discovery for shooting, a lot of the ones I have looked at have the twin sunroofs and I am wanting to know if they are suitable for shooting from? Does anyone have one or do any lamping from one that might know the answer??? Thanks in advance
