Sadly common sense isn’t something everyone has . I did a nights fishing a few years ago on a day ticket near me during a bad storm there was a swim I wanted to fish but chose not to because of a large tree that looked a bit dodgy. So I fished the opposite side of the lake in a safe spot. A couple of hours later a couple of people turned up and one of them set up in the swim with the tree in it , right underneath it . A few hours later the tree blew over and I saw it go I thought **** he’s splattered. Luckily for him he had just got out a couple of minutes before to get a bacon sandwich. Reckon his mate and bacon sandwich saved his life .

More chance of a flock of Teradactyls dropping in your decoys.

When I asked about shooting he said he already has people on there and the sfi was keeping them off his rape . I shoot on 5 farms and only 1 has rape this year and sounds like he isn’t bothering next year with it.

Thanks ,Definitely actually was quite pleasant sitting here in the sun although now it’s gone down it’s instantly dropping in temperature. Think it’s time to pack up with a spring in my step. Hopefully this will prove to my mrs I’m not completely mad. 🤣

Well you gt to be in it to win it. I fished the far end of the lake where one corner has a large bed of Norfolk reeds and it’s about 6 to 7 feet just off the edge of them and you have about 4 ft of water in them . This corner gets the sun more or less from about 9am until it sets and is the shallower end of the lake I fished 2 rods to the reeds in 6ft hoping the sun might just warm the water enough as it’s not that deep, and one in the open water about 12ft all on maggots. It’s paid off as I just had this on one of the rods near the reeds 32lb 8oz common . Well well over the moon. Happy days!
