Neither the US/NATO or Russia want war. The Russians know they can't stand up to the US military in a ground war, and the costs to the US would be too much considering what's at stake. Plus it's an election year.

It wouldn't be ideal, yes. The biggest concern would be Russia's anti-ship missiles, like the Sunburn, which are very nasty. Fortunately, the Black Sea Fleet is seriously outdated, technologically.

Yep. We got lighter when we left Africa 35,000 years or so ago, but still had an olive complexion. Our skin lightened up further when we switched to an agricultural diet, which has much less Vitamin D, to make up for the difference. Or at least that's what some scientists are starting to think.

Do I think handguns should be legal for UK citizens? Yes. You aren't a "Walt" for wanting to have one. Heck, I'd be considered a Walt by many here simply because I own 2 handguns, an AR-15, and a tactical Mossberg 500. That being said, it's more than likely never going to happen. Gun laws are rarely repealed once enacted.

Archery season starts the first Saturday of October. You can hunt with a bow all season. The muzzle loading season starts the first Saturday of November, and regular firearms season begins mid November. Also, rifles are limited to .224 or bigger for Whitetails in Virginia.
