Obituary - Tracy St Clair Pearce (Traqdean) Issue: 04/11/2011 Tracy lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sunday 30th October in the same dignified manner that she had lived her life,writes Jackie Cutler. Her tragic death will have come as a great shock to many of her friends, as she had kept the extent of her illness to just a few close friends and family. Her last show was at Darlington, where despite being in much pain and discomfort she managed to take both the Reserve CCs with Traqdean Midlops Movie Toto and Ch Jazz Mustang Sally Traqdean (Imp Fin), as well as Best Puppy with Bellsmond Dancing Shadow in Traqdean for whom she had great hopes. Jackson was bred by the late Lyn Bell, who we also tragically lost to cancer earlier this year. At Paignton Tracy achieved her ambition to make up her Finnish bitch Jazz, who was the first import to become a UK Champion. Toto is on two CCs and Tracy badly wanted to see him made up, but sadly it was not to be. However Tracy's proudest achievement was the success of Ch Traqdean Vidaloca Florence ShCM, who became the Bitch CC record holder on twenty tickets, including taking the Bitch CC at Crufts in 2010. Traqdean dogs have won many top awards in this country and abroad, including champions in Holland and Finland, and a full list of their achievements can be seen on her breeder page on the Lancashire Heeler Community website. Tracy was also a very active member of the Lancashire Heeler Community Welfare Fund, never hesitating to help any Heelers in need, and spending many hours transporting and caring for any dogs that came through Welfare. More recently Tracy agreed to take on the position of Chairman of the Lancashire Heeler Association (Proposed), which she undertook with great pride and commitment, as she did with anything that she took on. Aside from the Heelers Tracy had also been a very successful breeder of Rottweilers, as well as running a herd of rare pedigree Shetland Cattle, helping the breed go from near extinct status to a gene pool of over 300 breeding cows in less than twenty years. She also kept purebred Morgan horses, and her mare Hally was an Endurance Riding Champion. Earlier this year she bred Hally's daughter Honey and owned two rescued mares Megan and Misty who had previously been very badly treated. Despite her illness, Tracy never lost her sense of humour, and stayed strong and in full control of her animals, making sure they were all taken care of before she allowed herself to go into a hospice to get the care she desperately needed towards the end. Tracy also wanted it to be known how grateful she was to all her friends who rallied round in her time of need and allowed her to remain at home for so long surrounded by the animals she loved. Aged 14 to 18 years: You may not buy or hire an air rifle or ammunition. You may not receive an air rifle or ammunition as a gift but you may borrow one. If you are under 18 then your air rifle and ammunition must be bought for you by someone over 18 - normally your parent, guardian or some other responsible adult. If you are aged between 14 - 18 years you may use an air rifle on private premises without supervision with the consent of the occupier - normally the owner or tenant. However, if you allow a pellet to go outside of the premises whilst you are shooting then you commit a criminal offence. You may not carry an air rifle in a public place unless you are supervised by a person of 21 years or over and you have a reasonable excuse to do so, for example, whilst on the way to a club or land where you have permission to shoot. It is common sense to carry the air rifle in a gun cover and you should always ensure that it is unloaded.
