    Sky TV

It will work (freeview only) the sky+ bit wont. You should receive freeview only, not the paid subscription channels.

No, each card is paired to the box, so if you cloned a card it would only work in the paired box.
  3. Its bloody freezing and set to get cooler, plenty of grass cut and bailed over here though.

    extract

Its a by-product of the brewing industry (waste yeast), their factory is next to a brewery (cant remember which one) and its made by Unilever so I doubt they produce the cheaper stuff. All you need it dark ale yeast so most yeast-extracts will taste the same!
  5. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/jun/1...th-firing-squad Death by firing squad was banned in 2004, this guy was convicted 25 years ago so the punishment stands 25 years on death row, surely he should have been carted out of court and shot on the spot!

  8. I set fire to 20 odd old bales the other week, its a good job I live in the middle of nowhere.....looked like the area had fogged over As long as you get a red hot fire going and stick one on at a time it shouldn't be a problem.

    New iPhone

Yep o2 have changed their tariffs from unlimited to 500mb-1gb (depending on tariff), we've had unlimited data since day one - now that iPhone 4 is launching with multitasking and such (uses more data) they have capped their plans I'm not happy with their service nor pricing so I'm switching providers when my contract finishes, looks like 3 will be carrying the iPhone so might go with them.
  11. They dont get viruses due to the filesystem/security already in place. Backdoors/Trojans yes, I think there are 1 or 2 circling the net.
  12. Yep go to your local Apple Store and have a look at what they have, but dont buy in store!! Go to their online refurb store: http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/specialdeals/ You get pretty much a brand new machine (they are either faulty machines which have been returned or buyers who have changed their mind within the 14 day cooling off period), with their standard 12 month warranty and the option to upgrade to 3 years, plus you save a wad of cash!

    Lawn mower help!

If you want a pro stripe go for an Atco Balmoral, you can pick them up for a few hundred quid secondhand (used on football grounds), they will cut your lawn right down to the soil as well (excellent for a cricket pitch ) I've also got a Hayter with a Honda engine, my only gripe is that the Honda engines don't like fuel more than a month or two old. Last year I was away for 3 months, came back and the bu***r wouldn't start, took the fuel tank off, emptied, rinsed, refueled with fresh and away it went.
  14. Insurance for Ferrari's, Lamborghini's etc isn't too bad as the majority of them are only driven a few hundred miles a year. The Subaru WRX on the other hand are boy racer type things! hence the insurance quote.
  15. Cant you do a full backup, then restore to your new phone?
  16. This makes me laugh: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/poli...icle7145761.ece In fact this is all you need to know: Dear Public, please let us know which services need cutting as we don't have a clue, thought we would pass the buck for a change, if anything goes wrong we have you to blame. Tally-Ho Mr Osborne Note to David: Remember passing this onto the public has its advantages, not only does it give us ideas and someone to blame if it all goes t**s up, but also makes it look like we are for the people and (our new phrase) "transparent" (remember we need to get away from the upper class look, what what). George I thought that was their job (hence the "election" ), I'm obviously mistaken Absolutely spiffing. /rant

    New iPhone

Anyone going to upgrade, I skipped the 3gs but the iPhone 4 looks impressive: http://www.apple.com/iphone/
  18. The problem is there is a fine line which politicians dont seem to understand, they really need to be careful otherwise we will end up in a depression. I don't understand why they want to cut so much all at once when there isn't any need at this time (we've only just come out of a recession...keyword just!), little by little would be more beneficial.

I've been trying to login to personal banking but I keep getting "connection reset" errors, can someone check if its HSBC or my crappy connection. www.hsbc.co.uk Thanks
  21. And this is why I cannot stand the game any longer:
  22. Peter Bleksley (I think thats his surname) ex police, has just said guns should be for police and army only, there is no reason why the public should have such weapons. What a plonker!!
  23. Apparently he was a well respected and liked guy, he flipped - no warning, it would be fairly difficult to pick up on someone who turns deadly overnight - its not as though he was 20 something and high on drugs!
  24. Yep, 12 dead, 25 wounded and a further 30 scenes being processed, 2 weapons recovered, not good news!
  25. Yep he has been found dead in woodland - firearm close by, apparently a farmer was shot dead along with 10 others in the face, so not a nice sight for those who found them. They are already talking about gun control, typical nutters spoil it for everyone.
