  1. Probably those of us who cant be bothered logging in whilst surfing the net on phones/other computers
  2. I've just had a room covered in Kingspan, its about 2.5" thick - so how do you go about mounting a back box (for a socket) into the Kingspan? The Kingspan that's been used has a plasterboard front with foam insulation stuck on the back). Thanks EDIT: I take it the self drive plugs will work ?
  3. Thanks, I was looking at the full bore mod - but looking at their site they dont seem to produce it anymore
  4. How much do you think it would cost for my local dealer to buy and fit a Huspower on my .410 Baikal ?

    Camera

I bought a Nikon D5000 a few months ago - excellent piece of kit, cost just over £600 but they have dropped to the £500 mark now. Another thing - megapixels means absolutely nothing, a camera with 10mp could produce a far superior image compared to say a 20mp camera. So look at reviews and if possible the image quality before purchasing! Whatever you do dont buy from eBay, go local or a well known online electronics/camera site.

    Headlights

I dont think the blue bulbs are road legal, they are for "show" only - thats what I was told when upgrading the candles in an old defender.
  7. The farmers round here must be doing something right, the one opposite me has just bought a brand new Range Rover Sport and BMW X5 - not to mention the farming machinery (he likes a tractor upgrade every 18 months :o )

    Apple

I'm a mac user, switched from Microsoft 7+ years ago, I got fed up with their overpriced crappy software (operating systems).
  9. I have the same problem, tried everything but they keep coming back (they have burrowed into the lawn), the only thing I haven't tried is petrol - which is now my next task later on tonight.
  10. You're are few days too late, this happened on the 3/4th August, sorry to disappoint

    Paypal

PayPal fees are 3.4% plus 20p, as has already been said you will lose your protection if it all goes Pete Tong! BUT if you use your credit card to fund the payment you are covered anyway.
  12. Score the paper with knife, soak with wet sponge (leave 5 mins), then go over with stripper and scraper
  13. Have you tried rebooting your router ?? Turn it off for 30 seconds which resets the ADSL signal between your house and the Exchange.
  14. Carpet turned up this morning, now fitted and I'm extremely pleased with the results (looks very professional if I don't say so myself ) - couldn't find the camera as its boxed up but I've taken a few snaps with my phone - will upload later! Thats 1 of the 3 rooms done, onto the next...........
  15. My black lab would raid the bins, so I now shut the kitchen door when she is left.......simple
  16. My reasoning for the DIY approach is: a. Its a very cheap carpet £4.20per square meter as we will be moving shortly, no point spending more than necessary. b. £60-70 will buy 250 cartridges c. or 1/4 tank of Jet A1 d. As you have probably guessed I'm a "proper" tight northerner e. I'm currently grounded and have nothing better to do, so why not give it a shot? Although I may invest in a stretcher looking at those other posts, thanks

Surprised they got insurance for that, if Mr C had tipped on the motorway...
  18. I've got the Atco Balmoral which is identical to the Qualcast (in fact I think they are the same, qualcast just stuck their sticker on it  ). Excellent piece of kit, but if your lawn isn't as flat as a snooker table its a pain in the rear - so if you do have a bumpy lawn you will need to hire a heavy roller first. EDIT: oh and these will cut down to the soil, cricket pitch style
  19. I've just ripped up the crappy carpet tiles that were in the office (what a mistake buying those was!), the carpet gripper and underlay is now down - carpet arriving tomorrow. Any advice, I have basic tools, FBH, Stanley knife, tape measure, thin scrapper for poking - I don't see the point buying a kicker just for one carpet, as long as it looks half decent (desks cover the edges ) - the office is square with no awkward cut arounds (apart from the fire-door).
  20. All phones lose reception if gripped, you only hear the complainers on the net unfortunately, the majority of iPhone users are happy....
  21. Although the iPhone 4 has a few issues at the moment, its still one of the best smart-phones out there - I would still recommend the iPhone 4 over the 3g and 3gs.
  22. PalletWays you cant beat them! You can also try the brokers: interparcel.com parcel2go.com
