    Bird strike

Pilots were fine, no passengers on board that I'm aware of. Certainly makes a good case for helmets to be mandatory, they are only required if the operating company says so, I certainly wouldn't want a flock of birds hitting me without one (or with for that matter!)

    Chicken advice

Thanks for all the suggestions I've had 100% egg production over the last 2 days, maybe it was the heat as its cooled now ?? They are fed on small holder layer pellets (have been for 8+ months).
  7. Third dibs - RFD, PM me if foxnet doesn't want it
  8. Frigging tell me about it, I've spent all day chasing late payments, one of which is (or now was ) a repeat client, I got tired of the late payments and numerous reminders. Told them to pay up or find someone else by the end of the week, its now full out war between us

    Chicken advice

She is the dominant hen so definitely not being bullied and no feathers missing, I've fenced half an acre for them so free ranged. I got her in May last year, started laying in June/July so she should be at the peak of egg production.
  10. Over the last 5-6 days I've been having all sorts of issues with their eggs, anyway I've manage to sort 3/4 hens. The problem hen now lays (if at all) in the evening (9-10pm) outside the coop/nest box, last night she laid an egg without a shell but with a thin membrane. They have oyster shell on tap, clean water, coop is cleared every day. Any ideas whats going on here?
  11. Chainsaw? If so its probably bruising, although I think you should have it checked out just in case its either yew or something from the chain.
  12. First thing, take the back off and spin the drum, I would say its the bearings rather than a wire!
  13. I've had all kinds of problems with BT and the ISDN line (switching the wrong numbers off is one!), you can claim compensation as its business related. Complain to Ofcom, they will give BT a kick up the **** which should speed things up!

Thinking about it I should have asked the local builder to come in and dismantle the wall, it would have been cheaper! I'm going in sometime tomorrow, will let you know what happens

    Locksmiths

My offices are divided into sections, each section has a security door (swipe pass), the other day one broke within the unit, tried everything to get it out but failed. Called a well known local locksmith who came out at 14:40, I said it wasn't urgent....anyway 20 seconds later he pulls the broken card out with a special tool. Received the invoice through the post this morning. So come on then guess how much, whoever gets the closest get a cyber lollipop!
  20. £45 for 3-4 hours which seems reasonable (includes the odd bit of ironing).
  21. Beretta Gallery - Saint James's Street (I think)
  22. I've laid several floors, it needs to be hard - either concrete or wood/plywood, then use underlay which has a silver backing. You can buy kits from the DIY stores which includes spacers for the edges. I prefer the straight forward tongue and groove laminate which you need to glue, the glueless interlocking stuff is a pain if you have pipes/odd layouts etc. Dont forget to stagger your laminate sheets!

    brown out

Great so we will soon have two party leaders in power who haven't been elected, both have to agree (not going to happen) so its going to be a disaster. Also looks like (as part of the deal) parliament will last 4 years.....so no second vote
