well, had a good day out today. got picked up nice and early (0530) and made our way to Holyhead. I know that its not exactly Hollywood, but we arrived in time for the sunrise and it was better than any i have seen.

and so after a breakfast from the skipper, we steamed out to the deeps.

the weather was as good as the best summers days ive had out there, and the seas were calm.

After baiting up with whole mackerel i was soon into a good fish. I turned out to be a bullhuss at 12lb 4oz, but sadly i didnt get a pic due to the excitement. :hmm:

So, a fresh bait out, and after 20 mins, the reel clicker went mental, and i was into another good fish. Although it was not the monster fish i wanted, it still tipped the scales at 18lb ???

As the fished had slacked off, we decided to move closer in shore to try for some wrasse.

As we started the drift, i heard the skipper shout "Here is Colin" :look: What the hell is a Colin?

This, is a 'COLIN'

So, we thought why not feed the Seal

This guy would have jumped on the boat had we let him. Anyway, feeding Colin was to be our downfall, as every wrasse we hooked into, he got his mouth around and we landed a lot of fish heads.

But,,,,,,,,, I still got one.???

So, all in all, a really nice day. Got a bit of a suntan, and now im ready for a glass of vino :good:

Well in, Martin laaaaaaa :good:

Good Bull Huss and I'm glad you got a Tope, even if it wasn't a monster.

I'd have been a bit ****** off being brought in to fish for ******* Wrasse on a day like that

I think I'd rather have stayed off in the Deeps and tried for some deep-water stuff :good:

Cracking pictures, by the way :D

Who's the bald ***? :P

Excellent pics, i like the ones feeding the seal.... :P

The sea looks nice and calm in the pics was it like that all day

all day mate. hardly a ripple. Its a shame really, as one of the old boys with us chucked his guts all day. (should have made my ginger drink :D )

nout wrong with wrasse mate, they give you a decent fight for their size :good:

looks like a good day, but it if you don't mind me asking, what species is that shark??

Its a Tope shark. They can get upt to about 70 or 80 lbs. :good:

And Richard my dear boy, you know who that good looking chap is with no hair.  :P
