Mr Potter
Well done Mr Potter Thanks Chard but I think I've not done enough to get into AA which is what I would really like to be in. Wouldn't win a brass farthing if I ever got there but the odd groat I pick up now probably wouldn't cover my yearly bacon butty bill so I'm not exactly shooting for the gold. Anyway I hope it's got those southern softies worried for the 8th (it is the 8th isn't it) Regards Mr P

Chard
How you working that out then They don't count your score from the Welsh Open, because it was more than 10% less than your average. So they recalculate an average, ignoring that result altogether, so that low score isn't dragging you down. They do that to acknowledge the fact that people can have an off day without it blowing their classification.
Anni
So your a B classer to then ?
Chard
So your a B classer to then ? Yes, my scores are all similar(ish) so they don't ignore any of mine, because they're all within 10% of the average. Because I got such duff scores at Kingsley Moor and a couple of other 66/67's it's kept me in B. I think Nicky will just get into A Class because they'll ignore about 4 of his scores Edited October 26, 2009 by Chard

Anni
Yeah but can you do one of them b*ll*cks f*rts. Now that would be some trick So how long before you get a shot a becoming an A class muppet, How many shoots have you got to do before they work it all out again. Now that would be some trick So how long before you get a shot a becoming an A class muppet, How many shoots have you got to do before they work it all out again. They rework it every 6 months, so this one is done on 1st December then they'll do it again 1st June. So any registered comps that we shoot between 1st November and 30th April (don't ask) will count towards the next one. If we don't go up into A class next time, I'm quitting shooting
Anni
Whats this we buisness so if I dont make A class next time around your going to quit I better pull my socks up I must read up on all this classification stuff Ive been concentrating on the actual pulling the trigger bit to much Edited October 26, 2009 by Anni

Chard
Reckon you're right there; should scrape in with about a 75% average i reckon.... Yes, it depends what they do with percentage points. You have one score of 60 and it all hinges on that, as 10% off your revised average is 60.26% or something like that. If that 60 goes out, you're in, but if it's in, you're out (if you get my drift)
Nicky T
I think that anything below the revised average (the 60 in this case) goes, so A class here we come

Claybuster
Strange day Came near the bottom of the heap at Kingsley Moor and top of the pile at Catton .Don't know what my problem was at Kingsley, couldn't get going. First time at Kingsley Moor, somebody told me it was an easy course these days - I think they've toughened it up :o . Heard lots of comments today about how hard it was, something to do with the first comp of the Winter Series or something  . Blustery wind made life tricky on both grounds and some tricky stands into the sun at Kingsley. Nice to shoot with Paulos. Also good to meet Claybuster off here for the first time, he seemed to be putting in a good score at Kingsley Some of these scores on the doors might be wrong, let me know if I've cocked up. Kingsley Moor NickyT - 73 Magman - 69 Paulos - 67 Anni - 67 Chard - 64 :o Maglad - 49 Catton Hall Chard - 79 Paulos - 78 NickyT - 76 Anni - 75 Magman - 71 Maglad - ? Congrats to Mr Potter who shot a rather admirable 87 at Catton before we got there . That should win him A Class, I would like to think. It was nice to meet you Chard and some of the other PW members. The conditions with the wind on sunday made it a bit of a lottery at kingsley & yes I was going alright building a nice score until I managed to drop 12 birds on my last 3 stands. I had my usual problem with them bunny clays (missed em all) 5 away on that stand lost me cool by then 4 on the next and 3 on the last. So I finished on an 81 and left wondering what it could have been. Still there's always Doveridge this weekend who always put a good shoot on with a £100 for first place in each of the classes. See you there if your up for it. Rgds Keith

Mind you, mine would have been a nice score if I hadn't missed 36 of them You've got me tempted with Doveridge. I was going to give it a rest this weekend, after my bad performance at Kingsley I hadn't realised there was a comp on at Doveridge.

Yes there's 2 shoots at Doveridge this month, next sunday & the 29th November it's always a good turn out there so get there early.
