Dave-G
Looks like ther are lots of TV licence enforcement vehicles around these days. Some good stuff there and nice to see the DIY efforts as well as factory made ones.
Beardo
i've just thought - is the screw fit on the bottom of a Lightforce handle a standard camera fit? if so, something like this might work... fleabay link
Beardo
SS - this is the thread you were looking for! i checked it and the lightforce is bigger than a standard camera tripod mount
al4x
looking at that it might not be a problem the bolt it screws onto is just held in a clamp, so take your lightforce to B&Q get a bolt to fit and then fit it to that and job done. Though not sure how easy to rotate they are etc Edited March 3, 2010 by al4x
Beardo
i got one in the end anyway, 'cos it's useful for my camcorder/camera - not got round to sorted a different bolt for it though
sandersj89
I use the remote lightforce bar on the roof of my truck and the shooting rest above funny enough. On the lightforce br the bracket at the end where the light is mounted is hinged and sprung so you can fold up the light handle out of the way to open the door, very good. After buying the light bar and bracket I have since seen the bracket on it's own for sale in the Sportsman in Exeter though I cant find it online anywhere. I dont think it was much money and could easily be fitted to roof bars to save buying the full kit including bar and suction cups. You can see the hinged bracket clearer here... shoot57
i too have made my own which hinges up over the roof when you need to open the door but to anchor it to the roof i used three old mag mounts bolted under the cross bar, this system holds a blitz 240 just fine
