barney 66
Update off GMK today, promised me my gun next weekend,7 weeks after the day i purchased it,poor customer service i think, not even an offer of compensation a voucher or even a gift, after all this hassle has cost me 4 32 mile round trips time off work and numerous phone calls, hope it ressembles a brand new gun like it should when i do eventualy receive it,i'll let you know what happens, Chris. kermitpwee
I had an ultralite and it was mint. There must have been a problem in transit.
barney 66
I have 2 other Berettas which were fine, but these must have been damaged either at the Factory in Italy or on route to GMK,they do agree that these have been sent out like this,i must just be having a run of bad luck, hope it changes the weekend when i pick it up again, Chris. I guess your going to use the Ultralite for rough shooting, they are a cracking gun, sorry I sold mine tbh. Good luck with it.
Glenshooter
GMK are not exactly well rated on customer service. :o Some of the worst that I have experienced. So bought a Browning instead.
barney 66
GMK are not exactly well rated on customer service. Some of the worst that I have experienced. So bought a Browning instead. Yeah thought as much, thought about getting my money back, but what else is there of that sort of weight, plus my local gun dealer uses them and i don't really wan't to use anyone else as he's been great West Midland Shooting Ground at Hodnet, couldn't be more helpfull. gixer1
but what else is there of that sort of weight 20b over and under?
Raja Clavata
Had enough of a bad taste left in my mouth from dealing with GMK putting right things that were clearly wrong on two brand spanking new guns (a 682 Gold E and Sako Quad HMR) to have vowed to avoid anything else that will mean I have to deal with that awful organisation again. Things are bound to go wrong with mass produced products but it's not unreasonable to expect faults that should not have been present in the first place to be turned around as a priority. The return of the HMR was delayed a week because they basically forgot about it. To get 4 with issues in a row suggests something has gone wrong with quality control at the Beretta plant. Wonder if they've recently switched the location that the gun is made. I hope your issue gets sorted soon. BR Raja
barney 66
Thanks for your replies, heres an update, the barrels didn't come back for the 20th but a new batch of ultralights came instead earlier than they thought, was supposed to be end of the month so didn't receive it that weekend because due to no replies to emails and various other promises i asked for my money back, when i got home i had an email from GMK promising a quantity of cartridges for my trouble so decided to go ahead agaithen received a call to say they have been through the guns that came in and due to the present circumstances they weren't of a quality they were happy to send me as they all had minor scratches on the barrels, another batch due next week, lets wait and see,9 weeks next weekend, i'll keep you posted, Chris. Harnser
I dont like the sound of that ,that all these berettas have problems with them . I have seen a couple of new berettas lately and they dont seem to have the quality of guns made 10 to 20 years ago . One guns wood to metal finish was terrible and the wood on another looked like an old pine window sill . I personally would not have bought either of them as I would expect something a little better from beretta . Have beretta become a victim of their own success and have had to cut back on quality to maintain quanity ,it makes you wonder . It is beginning to sound as if you need to go over a new beretta with a fine tooth comb befor buying . retromlc
my beretta was perfect on collection ,but my mates had a bit of weld/raised metal between the barrels at the end,he got £200 back from the dealer when he said exchange it,they didn't want too as they'd never sell it like that second hand.me thinks you should get 1000 carts minimum for your trouble
barney 66
The only good thing at the moment is at least they know what quality i am after hence the reason they are picking me one out and not just sending anything like they did before,if its not sorted by Chrismas that will be 3 months and by then i think they will owe me cartridges and i'll have my money back and look for something else, Chris. barney 66
Dont think i'll be offered any where near 1000,as when the 3rd gun came with marks on the barrel i suggested £120 back which they refused and said it wouldn't cost that to black the barrels. barney 66
Ok Ultralight problem now sorted, after 2 fresh batches in at Gmk,all of these had marks on the barrels so the one they reblacked the barrels for me to my choice of finish (satin black) arrived on Friday as promised, superb finish on the barrels better than the gloss in my opinion also means its a bit of a one off, free 10 year warranty and 500 supreme game cartridges thrown in for my trouble,Result at last. regards Chris
