How many cartridges do you take out with you for a day on the pigeons, I'm sure it'll depend on the time of year but just wondered ? I for one sadly could not afford to have a red letter day and shoot one of the mega bags that sometimes get reported, especialy at my cartridge to bird ratio :angry:

This time of year I take roughly 100 rounds with me and like other said 500 in the landy.

But on some crops like drilled beans in spring peas etc I take 100 rounds with me and keep 1000 rounds in the landy.

All the best and one day you will have your redletter day and hope its soon.

Hurray - we agree on something  , minimum 100 in the hide, at least 500 back in the Range Rover.

I very often leave a spare car key with the farmer so he can run some more over to me on the quad bike if the going gets really hot, you don't want to lose half an hour trudging back and forth whilst they're piling into the deeks.

Cat.

pS - Cos - keep a few more in the car, one day you'll run out and you'll end up throwing stones at 'em.
