sitsinhedges
Giving up humping a ruddy great sack around the countryside and taking half an hour to set up only to find the pigeons are elsewhere or just ignoring me What's the minimum amount of kit I could decoy with
Billy.
A dozen decoys, wear camo and hide in a hedge.

Boromir
Or set up a permanant hide and just take your deeks and camo
Cranfield
Use shells, they take up less room and weigh less. It also pays to spend as much time as you can looking for the birds, before you commit to a field. Alternatively, keep in touch with the farmer, or farm workers and ask them where (or if) they are seeing any pigeons.
Beardo
i've had some fun hours out without anything, just find a flightline and get under it tucked up against some cover (shot 7 pigeons, 2 crows and a jackdaw one day last week in just over an hour doing just that) Edited November 29, 2009 by nickbeardo
sitsinhedges
i've had some fun hours out without anything, just find a flightline and get under it tucked up against some cover (shot 7 pigeons, 2 crows and a jackdaw one day last week in just over an hour doing just that) That's what I've been doing for the last few weeks, tucked in near a few sitty trees. No massive bags but a box or two of cartridges each time without any set up. This is what has made me loathe the drudgery of masses of decoying equipment. Edward
I have given up with magnet and full bodys. my best bags have been from bale hides and net stunf between trees and six shells and a bouncer Im going to go and have a look for some sitty trees to sit under now

docholiday
Know the feeling, thankfully I can get the land rover into most of my permissions, if its to wet I use a light weight wheelbarrow, works a treat for moving everything and bringing pigeons back in Doc
