EastSussexLad
This duck was shot last night at last knockings at flight, any ideas as to what it could be? Has distinctive Grey/blue feet, and a small white line on the bill. 1, 2, 3, Edited December 6, 2009 by EastSussexLad

EastSussexLad
Before anyone else jumps on, the duck was not shot by me. The duck was following a pair of mallard and looked no different in the light conditions.. Anybody knows (well if you have ever been out for a flight) that you can never be 100% at last knockings. chrispti
Slightly off topic.... I bet there is not one wildfowler who has not made a mistake in the past . . . . . . or at least thought they dropped,(for example) say a mallard, picked it up and it was a shoveler

I bet there is not one wildfowler who has not made a mistake in the past . . . . . . or at least thought they dropped,(for example) say a mallard, picked it up and it was a shoveler Exactly what i was thinking, anyone who does enough duck shooting has made that mistake.. always going to be that "few" that haven't

danccooke
I am far from perfect. Hence knowing the link. I didn't know what it was! I was asked to shoot some stuff before on one of my permissions and nearly did before checking seasons luckily i did as i would have been out of season. I didn't mean to take the **** but it isn't a good idea posting a picture of something already shot and asking what it is. Knowing the sort of people who like to use any ammo to say shooters are irresponsible.

EastSussexLad
Hah, jokes aside.. I will admit it was a little daft posting the pictures as the **** could of hit the fan but i was fairly sure what it was after coming back and doing some searching around the web and just making sure what it was by posting it here.
