henry d
i cant use a rifle or shotgun next to horses. These are on sale for £15. bargain. (fleabay) So is it in a field or indoors ? They are OK indoors but will take a while for the rats to get used to it, but outdoors you may struggle.
bruno22rf
mine worked well for years till it got nicked-leave it outside for a while to weather-use gloves to hide your smell when handling it -most people i know drop them in water when a catch is made to avoid blood all over the wire. MM
So is it in a field or indoors ? They are OK indoors but will take a while for the rats to get used to it, but outdoors you may struggle. its right in the middle between a resturant and the stables. i dont want to bother the horses with air rifles, and dont want to leave and blood around near a food area. there is a sheltered area which looked good to set it in, as i watched them having a disco last night. banjobill
You could also try poison, however you must not drown any captive animal and i would recomend that the post is doctered. \if an anti got hold of it it could be embarrasing. Take the trap away and use a airrifle or dog, NOT IN PUBLIC VIEW. If you can get tob the burrows why not rodernate(if burrows are empty) or gas them? bruno22rf
R.E. my initial post-"most people i KNOW" etc-not me cos i dont have one anymore so lets not shoot the messenger. As for shooting them in situ-theres a high risk of blood splashes directly or from the cage afterwards so you need to be carefull.
