mikky
dave...its a .223 bolt action.....just looks different.. :(
Devilishdave
I know it is single shot (it must be as its above .22rf and its in the UK) but it is obviously designed to look like M16 or other variants. Dave
Dunkield
They are great for the range, but can you imagine seeing someone with one dressed in cammo stalking around a field with one, SO19 would be one their way in no time flat! :*) Dave, I don't think they are just designed to look like an M16, I think they are based on the aramlite chassis and built up from there. Ozo
yea looks to me that its based on the ar-15, the civilian version of the m-16. Ozo
Lurch
http://www.southern-gun.co.uk/ Pal o' mine calls him Fat Bob and doesn't have a good word for him. Reckon's he's pricey too. I've never dealt with him so I don't know. This guy is another source of ar-15 style straight pull rifles Target Shooting Services Never dealt with him neither! Dunkield
I haven't either but my mate had a SGC AR15 built for him and raves about it and also the quality of service that he got from SGC, so as always there are 2 sides to the coin. dunganick
i love the look of the things, but couldnt have one, becuase i think the risk of being spotted and with a gun like that (note one very similar was used in the washington killings) i think your chances of being reported would increase alot. mind you the ammount of times people say, thats a pretty cool sniper rifle or something to that effect is endless. public dosent understand what they see, but i think this rifle would only add to a problem, in my opinion. but it certainly is a looker, what kind of groups do you get @ 100? I live in Brighton and some of my best land is just outside the city, which i regulary take the AR 15 too. I think that if someone was to report seeing a man with a gun lurking in a field then they will, no matter what weapon of choice they may have in their hands. Mr or Mrs average joe public busy body does not know the difference between a little CZ or a AR 15!!!! to them a gun is a gun. If they were to contact the police then they will be informed that i am supposed to be there an engaged in a lawful activity as i always ,always inform the local police call centre of my intentions. Which with the current climate is a pretty sensible thing to do! Where i shoot anyway !! I know i have no legal requirement to but i choose to. Those of you with more rural shoots probably dont feel the need and some of you disagree with this. Well if we where all the same it would be a pretty boring world wouldnt it!!!! And nick my best group at 100 yards is just over 1/2 which for me is ****** amazing :( but in anothers hands it has shot the magic 1/4 inch
dunganick
not too shabby at all i still believe that if you meet someone when out and about (as seems to happen more and more these day) they will be more alarmed by a gun with a more tactical look such as the above mentioned piece, as opposed to something which has wood on it and looks like a 'hunting rifle', but in these times, with silencers on almost all centerfires, i would imagine joe bloggs would label anything with a big scope and silencer as a 'sniper rifle' such is life, wouldnt be my choice for a field gun, would be high on my list of guns to use for sporting target shooting, i had a go of one on running deer.....very handy piece it was too.
