KFC
He said Kasha had already given himself a "lifelong punishment" by having shot his own sister dead and reduced his sentence from the mandatory three years to two. Well, if it is reduced from three years to two then it is not mandatory, is it?

Only kidding.I wonder what his defence said to get him off so leniently? He's a career criminal-albeit not a very good one and should of been given a substatial sentence to start with when he shot his sister. RC45
i thought it was mandatory 5 years for the firearm and extra for the ammo ? these judges make it up as they go along I thought five years was mandatory for possession. bothbarrels
I thought five years was mandatory for possession. Anyone know what the definition of mandatory is? Phil A mandatory sentence is a court decision setting where judicial discretion is limited by law. Mandatory sentencing means that persons convicted of property offences go straight to jail. Judges and the court system cannot use their discretion because sentencing is automatic. Each case is treated in the same way and specific circumstances are not considered. Mandatory sentencing laws vary from country to country. BB.

inthedark
And the real story is - he's a disaffected kid, brought up on violence, crime and drugs. Probably been committing crime since well before his age reached double figures and bought the Brocock from the proceeds of street robbery and general theft for around £200. He's fully aware of what it does and how to work it, and uses it to lift his profile among his peer group, would have no qualms about popping a couple off at anyone who dis respected him. Who knows why he drilled his Sister with it but accident my ****. Say what you like, I bet my version is more accurate than the courts.
