I'm New

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys.

I'm 32, and looking at taking up shooting in Essex.

I'm in Clacton on Sea.

I have never fired a gun before, so all this is new to me.

Question: What is the best sort of shot gun for a starter shooter? (Like myself)

Hoping to meet fellow shooters, in and around Essex, and to make friends etc.

Keep in Touch

Graham

Welcome, suggest getting in touch with a local club or clay range and have a lesson or 2 break a few clays and take it from there, if you like it get your SGC application sent of as it can take 2 months to get it back.

Try a few guns see whats suits and then take it from there dont forget before you can buy a gun you need the cert and suitable cabinet etc which will cost a few £££

Thanks for that guys.

Off to my local shotgun club on Saturday morning. Clay shooting, to have a look and a try and to get a feel for it.

Hopefully will love it, and will apply asap for SGC.

As for a gun, have been recommended a AYA Yeoman 12 Bore? Had a look online and they seem pretty fitting.

But will take advise, and will try a few before settling.

Thanks for all comments and advise.
