libs
I agree but more minorities actually add to more than a single majority Very true, but there is never any cohesion between these minorities, imagine the BNP bunking up with the Greens for a debate! Dr W
Interesting to see that at this time (8.30am) that discounting Conservatives, BNP has as many votes as all the other parties put together (9 at the moment), I was going to say I'm quite surprised but then I remember various threads on here. KFC
Voting for a minor party is like ******* in the sea. Not voting for a minor party is maintaining the status quo and, therefore, the monopoly Could we also have the option to abstain please because that is a legitimate option in the democratic process Edited April 9, 2010 by Cranfield
Beardo
if you're not sure of who to vote for go and have a play on http://www.votematch.org.uk it'll help you by tieing in your answers with what parties stand for.

Interesting site, i`m 65% BNP and 55% Conservatives then Labour on 15% agreeing with the policies. All i can say is bring it on, i want the whole business over and see who comes out on top and hopefully see this country change for the better for the first time in ages. Dan73
Can't believe that Labour has a couple of supporters left!! Would like to see the Green Party become a bit more mainstream, but it needs people from all walks of life (i.e. a strong 'country' contingent), but ultimately, Dave will be moving in to No.10. What will be funny is when him and Obama get on TV together: DC - thank you Mr President, you can count on our continued support..... BO - thank you Premier Dave, your support is appreciated.... Why do the US Presidents never address our leaders as 'Mr/Mrs Prime Minister'?
danddo
Having just voted was suprised to see how well conservatives are doing. Labour a definate NO but I still remember the very high interest rates with conservatives and it does worry me.

Yep, I thought that was useful. We won't be getting a BNP candidate in this area but UKIP is growing quite strong and, coincidentally, that is who came top for me. If I decide to vote at all then it would have to be UKIP

KFC
I'm surprised that the Cons are likely to get so many votes because they are the party that started flogging off the whole country to private businesses to line their own pockets in the first place. And they created internal markets for the NHS which is the same as me bidding for my kitchen to supply meals to my dining room table. In order to do this my kitchen would have to contract out the supply of food to my kitchen to me. Bonkers or what?
Dr W
Interesting site (votematch) I've done it a couple of times slightly varying my answers and in both ways it was either BNP or UKIP who came top around 65% each and then Conservatives on 55%. As never going to vote for BNP and can't risk spliting the vote by voting for UKIP I'll be voting for Conservatives. Be interested to see who developed the votematch website and their political views, might try it again with some more liberal selections and see if I can get it to suggest another party. Mungler
Did Nick Beardos test and the answers for me were: BNP 68% UKIP 53% Tory 25% It's probably right, but then again having my head screwed on I know that a vote for UKIP or BNP is a wasted vote in the primary struggle which is to get Labour out.
