SSS
Looks like a suicide aid Seem like a good invention, wonder how good they actually are though
Vipa
Looks like a suicide aid Seem like a good invention, wonder how good they actually are though I've seen them in action, very effiicient, very stable and very quick and take up very little space when not in use. The only drawbacks are limited lift height (compared to a Hi-Lift) and the fact that the engine needs to be running to inflate it.
libs
So what happens if your exhaust, like mine, is blowing? Are you F to the ECK'd ?
Vipa
So what happens if your exhaust, like mine, is blowing? Are you F to the ECK'd ? depends how badly it's blowing, if there is more pressure than can be lost through the hole then it will still go up but slower
MC
ME, Have you tried Machine Mart or somewhere like Ernest Does?
Billy.
I think there's something in this month's Land Rover mag about these. I seriously wouldn't be getting under the vehicle with that thing. However I appreciate it's just for changing a wheel.
MC
You would be mad to get under any car that is just on a jack. I would never go under a car unless it was on axle stands or ramps. Look what happened to our foreign friend (Whose name escapes me completely at the moment)

garyb
Euro Car parts ( http://www.eurocarparts.com/ ) stock a lot of Sealey stuff.
al4x
they're a cracking idea with a 4x4 because they will jack you out of rutts etc as they spread the load over a wide area so won't sink.

J@mes
Some of them actually state in the instructions that they are NOT suitable for changing wheels and are suited to recovery situations only, where there is a need to dig out, pack under a wheel or lay waffle boards. A bloke on the D3 forum has had his bushranger fail as it blew the valve out! if it does fail when the wheel is off you are going to smash your brakes, probably your suspension and maybe even ram the suspension strut out of its mount and through the bonnet. As well as the chance if it drops while you are working, it may land on and kill you. No thanks.
gixer1
As has been said they are really for use to jack out of a rut then lay waffle boards or fill in the rut...not a maintenance item... apparently good in sandy conditions...
