jko
Yuk, Kind of reminds me when I shot a Commorant a few years ago, a mate asked for it to eat, he was/is a guy who would eat anything, moorhens, rooks, pigeons, starlings, roadkill, anything really. he was unable to pluck it so he skinned it jointed it and made a stew. he and his young family where unable to eat it, he said it tasted strongly of cod liver oil. artschool
"this did not taste good" kind of sums it up really. most foul thing i have ever eaten was an octopus that i shot with a speargun in greece.
Frenchieboy
I wonder if he might have been better trying to cook up one of the legs or part of the back in stead of the head. He could at least have chucked his dog a bit to chew on! I think I will stick to a good old rabbit stew myself and leave the foxes to decompose burried in the dung heaps. First skin the fox and soak in a bucket of salted water for 8 hours ,then rinse the carcass of with clean water. Season the outside with salt and pepper.Take one clean house brick or if a big dog fox two bricks and place inside the body cavity with a large sprig of rosemary.using string tie the cavity closed(like a sunday joint) and place in an oven for 3 hrs at 180. When cooked remove the string and open up the body cavity throw the fox in the bin and eat the brick.
njc110381
"It tastes like it smells". That thought nearly made me throw up on the keyboard. I always had a feeling Fox wouldn't taste too special! EDIT... Didn't you see the dog turn it's head? There's no way it would have eaten that, it was too smart! Jim Sarakun
I just could not stop laughing when I watched him take that head out of that steaming muddy water, then proceed to eat it, proclaiming that it tasted awful with no facial expression. Clearly the man is MAD. Obviously no Tesco down his street..
