Hi, I was just wondering,(if you don't mind me asking) how much are you paying for eley subsonics? I've changed from 'winnies' to eley subs and just the other day paid £50 for 500 eleys  Now am I being stuffed,(putting things politely) or is that the going rate? Last time I got 1000 winchesters for something like 66 quid so that's one big difference!

This thread just goes to show how variable these things can be. Its been this way since the banning of mail order sales of ammunition.

On the other hand 500 subs are going to last you a very long time so it will be a cost spread out over time but these dealers should be ashamed of them selves.

Just for the record my last purchase of .22s (not subs or HP) was £19.60 for 500 CCIs from GT Shooting in Coulsden. I've got about a box and a bit left but I will be going back there for more. OK its a bit of a drive for me but I would rather give them my business.

That's exactly what I was going to say! 30-40 quid seems like the going rate :good: Some people will just chance it and if there's little competition loacally they will get off with it aswell :good:
